Yeah, I don't have old screenshots that properly show what I mean I guess. If I knew it was going to change I would have made "before" pictures. Unfortunately I can't downgrade, but one would think Niantic knows what they changed...
Agreed. The pulse was removed and the texture was added but without animation. Even REDACTED could animate the textures in the fields. I just really dislike what they did with the colors on iOS. It was always uglier on Android, now both are the same. Don't really understand why. User experience to me is like I'm downgraded graphics wise, even though I have the newest phone on the market currently.

What exactly changed and in what way? Screenshots before/after?
On my phone, it seems like someone at Niantic pumped up the contrast.
I personally like it, so I'm not complaining, but having adjustable contrast would make it so more people are happy.
i really like the new texture in the control fields since 2.60.2, is similar to redacted textures fields 👍

There were already textures in the fields. Besides, the textures in the REDACTED scanner were animated, these are static and really ugly textures.
fields dont look so much alive in prime vs redacted.

Actually field texture IS animated. Look closer: the animation is very slow.
Just spent 5 minutes looking at the textures...
They don’t move at all on iOS. The XM moves a little bit, fields are static.
edit: not all fields it seems. Weird.
dislike the change either way; even though I’m starting to get used to it.
We're making adjustments for more consistency across devices and platforms, and to make the visual profiles easier to manage over time.
