Operation Tadpole to Toad - from level 1 to 16 in 12 hours and 5 minutes
Operation Tadpole to Toad - from level 1 to 16 in 12 hours and 5 minutes
11/11/2020 - Start time: 9:14 AM, End time: 9:19 PM - Agent Jepakazol
Summary:
· Use APEX during the annual double AP event to get x4 AP.
· Restore a 31-layers field from 40 different bases - over and over and over again.
· Use the battle beacon as a flip card to build the field from each portal 3 times every hour.
· Design the layers such that after each layer the portal that appears next in the scanner is the next portal to link.
· Equipment: 4,100 keys, 140 SOBUL, 120 ADA, 80 Jarvis, 30 battle beacons, 3 portable chargers and 3 friends to carry all the equipment.
· Obtaining the keys required an additional 32 VRHS, 32 VRMH and 64 frackers.
· Total: 40,006,578 AP, 3,695 links, 6,992 fields and 34,465,574 MU.
And a bit on a personal note -
It was fun, challenging and amazing that it worked - even though I sat on the math for days, I did not believe to the end that the calculations on paper could turn into a real operation. The first 6 hours of the operation were easy, the next 3 hours were already difficult and the last 3 hours were "must go on… must go on…".
Lots of friends (and enemies) helped and cheered - thank you all!
Credits:
· orenmishak11 - Helping with the mathematics to check if the operation is possible, building the layers plan.
· MrMavni - Naming the operation, participating in the preliminary operation to create barriers, eye in the sky.
· Liron486 - Storing keys until the operation, helping on the day of the operation.
· AlexCSLion - Helping with key farming, viruses and SOBUL, participating in the preliminary operation.
· AdiBrill – Taking photos, storing keys, helping on the day of the operation.
· Thanks to all the smurfs who did not demolish the fields in the middle of the operation.

Grats on the wr agent!
It was a great operation.
But your record was never a record, in fact an agent in Portugal, IGN @Jomocinho , had established L1-L16 in 5h47m, on the 10/11/2020.
Sitrep coming soon™
I don't believe until there is a siterep ^^ :)
Congrats to all involved.
You have set a new bar for speed running.
Everyone, Res and Enl, can appreciate this.
That's cool. Thanks for the detailed description of your operation, it was interesting to read.
Honestly, thats kinda shitty move to do. If you break a record, announce it so that others don't think they have the best time. And almost 4 days ago, how long does it take to write a few words?
Agents in Bergen posted in Instagram 2 hours ago that one of their Agents recurse and went from level 1 to 16 in 8 hrs 14 minutes. I wouldn't solely rely on anything posted in this forum alone. I'm sure there's faster times out there.
Indeed Dreggen79 did it in that time, Bergen reposted it actually, Dreggen79 is from Stavanger.
But this was posted hours after he actually did it. The agent who is said to have done this in 5.49, his AP looks legit, and we also have other sources saying that its legit. So my point still stands. Don't wait 4 days to post something when other people are trying to set a record, thinking they beat it just to getting told that "no, another agent did this 4 days ago, but didn't tell"
Although true, my point still stands as well as I'm sure there's faster times out there. Some may not want to post them for time records as they are humble enough to have reached L16. 🤷♂️
Thats fair. If you dont want attention or "fame" - then don't post it. But this Portugese agent is going to post a sitrep, he just hasn't done it yet. So he is going to claim the WR for it. Making @Dreggen79s time not beeing a record. Imagine the work you put down, and the happiness, just to get smacked by "no, another one did it, hes just been too lazy to post it yet, your time is not a record and newer was"
I see your point, but i don't like it, and i don't agree with it :)
As I see it, a buddy jumped the gun on his friend. Its posted now in Sitreps and in full detail of how it was completed. I can understand the issue with writing it all up. the Author wants to have all the details and facts on hand before even putting pen to paper. I'm like this when doing my write-ups and usually its a couple days after the fact that its happened. Now bragging friends is one issue nobody can control.
I would like to give congrats to this Op outcome, and to all agents who were involved. You are awesome!
Ps. Having done a similar Op, I am sorry i did'nt post it right after i did it. Was not really aware other agents we re also doing it, and that it mattered my result. But it does'nt take anything away from anybody. You guys were great too. These activities that really involve planning and a big teamwork is what makes the game exciting! Its a community game :)
