Challenge Medals When You Want Them

So here's an idea that might be doable and probably better during this whole pandemic mess. You know coz no one can agree on when is a good time to do challenges, when is a safe time and all that.
Niantic could release a 1 time personal boost, like the Apex, but lasts 2 weeks. Or 1 week. Whatever works. For 0 CMU 🙏. This whole no event thing is getting very very very lame.
What would you get out of it?
- 2X AP for the whole period starting from when you deploy. Stackable of course with the Apex.
- A tiered badge / stat that counts for the duration the boost is active.
- Some hacking mods and other invent.
Can global scoring happen?
How about keep the 1 time boost available for a duration of 6 months, during which activated boosts count towards a stat. This one is probably less feasible and kinda takes away from RES vs ENL global challenges.

Yeah noticed it after posting. The general direction seems like the best thing at the moment.
Still can't think of a feasible way for a RES Vs ENL challenge though.
