Same here, moreover this happens after an official message that ensured support for iOS14. I think that this incident should be followed by apologies and not an accusation against players.
It’s infuriating that this issue has been going on and discussed here without an official response directly about the concerns of this intel ban.
Niantic had months to test ios14 and told us the recently bugs were fixed. Pokémon Go had a similar issue where people where the game crashed on launch and it wasn’t fixed until the day of iOS 14 was released.
bugs and glitches happen and can be dismissed. However the lack of communication from Niantic about this bug on their own forum is infuriating.
I have been someone who did not mind spending money in the store for any of they’re games. However, these events left a bitter taste and have very little interest in playing Niantic’s games.
u want damage control, stuff like this doesnt look good that agents so many gets intel ban because iOS14 update... how many days we are going to wait for all those affected for a real statement from niantic what has caused this and what are they doing to fix this for everyone ??
I hope @NianticBrian and Niantic solves the problem soon and talk with apple. Lots of agents get banned from Intel and Comm. Cant play Ingress Prime and use Intel with IOS 14.
Yeah, I think it's more widespread than this as well, if you don't use intel; you won't even notice this issue until you want to talk on comms. The fact that only Intel tells you you have a ban is simply stupid.
In my case, I have never cheated and I have also had this problem since updating to IOS14, I have always played this game in the fairest way because I love it and it does not seem fair to me to strike out of nowhere.

1. Some players are correctly receiving a suspension message when accessing Intel Map but not when accessing the Scanner. I get the feeling that people that got an answer relatively quickly from support, stating they indeed have a strike are the ones in group 1. The people that created a ban appeal ticket and didn't hear back are in group 2.
Let's hope this mess gets sorted soon. Adding a message to the scanner you have a strike should be high priority, if people don't use intel they might not even know they are banned.
All jokes aside, this should’ve been tested. Like so many things with prime, I feel this could all be easily avoided by creating a group of dedicated players that actually test the update before it goes live.
I've offered myself to be in the beta testing group, to @NianticBrian a number of times. It's currently (AFAIK) employees and Vanguards. Though I didn't get a strike so this wouldn't have come up.

The same here. Playing Ingress since it works on iOS including portal submissions, portal scanning, portal reviewing, recursion...

I submitted my appeal around 18 hours ago, no reply yet.
They don't have to talk with apple. They need to see why these false positives are triggered and fix that.

Even the next version of android is out, so if it is triggered by newly released operating systems that is a massive fail

I feel a bigger group of active testers with several devices would help.
