So, I was checking Intel, drawing up a field plan, when all of a sudden the intel was not loading portals when I moved the view. So I hit F5, and was met with this error:
So I opened the game, it loaded fine. I can drone hack and recharge without issues. Intel however keeps saying this, mobile and on desktop.
I see a topic on Reddit with at least one user having the same issue. This is not good for my anxiety, so please Niantic, take a look at this?

I'm also affected by this; I opened a ban appeal ticket so I’m hoping for good news.
I also got this. Raised it with support on the app but not sure what they will say. No warnings or anything.
I can still play and use the app.
Same for me. Also I can't write in COMM.
I hadn’t tried that but yeah I can’t write in COMM either.
Got this generic response from the in app support;

What do all people have in common? Use of iitc? If yes, which plugin? Android ? iOS ?
If iitc is the cause, it seemed to me that it was tolerated...
I use iitc yes. No new plugins or whatever.
I’m running iOS 14 and latest Ingress.
I would think due to just an Intel map ban, rather than the app fully it’s IITC.
I’ve used it in the past for proximity and cells. If that’s what it was, I can stop using it. That’s fine.
I’ve been using only iitc with custom draw tools since 2017. Haven’t had any ban or warning whatsoever.
Niantic is not giving us any reason, for more information open ingress prime; but that doesn’t tell us anything.
Now we have this issue and they are keeping silent. Support is giving out canned response. I mean come on.

Almost everyone uses iitc, you have to be honest about it. Andrew had even indicated that it was tolerated but I cant find the message. Now why only some users are blocked and not all iitc users? I could read that the cause could be iOS 14. Nevertheless as usual the support answers are wrong and don’t allow to know the reason!

Yeah, but why get an intel ban for using an iOS version? I’ve been running iOS 14 since last week Tuesday, why would that trigger an intel ban today?

Niantic does "Intel Ban" people, removing their access while allowing them to keep playing legitimately with the client.
However I'm 99.99% sure it's not because people are using IITC itself. There may be fourth-party plugins for IITC that are causing the flagging, but the standard ones available from the IITC-CE site definitely aren't as far as I can tell.
I noticed that the error page omits the dot in my email. How about the rest of us, do you guys have hyphens or dots in your email?

I think they made an error somewhere.
What level are you? They recently put a level requirement in for talking on COMM (client or map).
Users should be asked to share the used plugins

COMM restricted for low-level players, but only from Intel map, so they can use it in app. I can't use in-game COMM.
That sounds more like a a COMM ban for harassment then. Did you get any email about that?
Do you really think that people would do that? I mean how likely is: "I got banned for using an illicit plugin for scraping the map... and here it is!"
No emails. I think it's tied – Intel ban and blocked COMM, because it is happened in same time.
iitc itself is considered illicit by the support...yet almost everyone uses it.
It's happening right after people upgrade to iOS 14. I doubt it has anything to do with plugins.
Or Android 11?

I didn't say it was IITC plugins, just that it's not the standard IITC that most players are using regularly still.
Been using iOS 14 for a week before I got the ban on intel. So I really don’t think that is related.
I’m really starting to think that it is because I have a dot in my email and it’s omitted on the error page. Account e-mail mismatch or something.
Does anyone not on iphone got comm ban ?
