Status of Subscription service idea
Hi @NianticBrian @NianticCasey
What is current status of Subscription idea? When it become available (like in month, quarter, year?) and what it will offer to us? The topic kinda died and we need some clarifications from you - because there is too much speculations in community already.
Until you get community manager you need to inform us about works so you can get feedback before you develop something. Use features of SCRUM methodology using us as chickens.

probably still being evaluated not sure it will be ready anytime soon final details.
O boi, I would sure love to see that happen.
"When it's ready"
Given the recent survey, it's probably in the 'tuning' phase, determining the appropriate price for the appropriate gains.
I imagine they're probably going over the answers from the recent survery and trying to gauge an estimate or an average of what to charge and what to give out with the subscription.
$10 a month for 1000-2000 slots.
Any inventory count less than 1000 is not worth the money.
$10 a month might not seem like much, from a US perspective, but would be out of reach in many parts of the world. And if they price it too high, people are just going to use backpack accounts (that's another 2,000 spaces...). I'd be interested to hear what the survey results were, but I suspect that not as many players will want to pay for a subscription if monthly loadouts are included.
I would certainly pay if was a permanent thing not Just a month.
$10 USD should be factored by the Big Mac Index for different countries.
You think big macs are cheap? With same amount I can buy a 8 slices size pizza, maybe even more in cheaper places.
As some politicians says - get a credit and change a job ;)
Business is business - nobody should look for poor people so they will get motivation to get more and more by hard work instead of just waiting.
Players play games on their own costs. There are lots of games that I will never play just because I refuse to pay insane amounts of money for them and of course piracy is not an option for me and my morality.
Also, there are several ways to play Ingress with 0 budget, but keep in mind that you still require a mobile devide to play, which implies a cost, with implies a minimum budget that supports it.
If you are that poor, perhaps you should just asume you can't afford playing this game instead of demanding it to be the cheapest. Just saying.
The Big Mac Index is a scale by the Economist magazine that uses a known product by a single company, to factor difference in cost of living dollar values. McDonalds doesn't scale their prices by exchange rates, but factors them to the local market.
By using the Big Mac Index you can get a relative price based on the cost of goods in the local currency.
Are you two just trying to be offensive or are we in some sort of misunderstanding? Your bigmacs cost 10usd? That's 3x mine.
Anyway, about ingress, for the things they offered this amount isn't attractive for me. I'm already wasting more than that in a month for playing, and on active days of hardcore playing I spent this much in a day.
