Is there a way to get coordinates from submission email confirmation?
I have been trying to get coordinates from some emails and get some information like Name of candidate portal and portal coordinates. That information I using it to give information to local agent or other Pokemon Go players where is the place has been submitted as a portal. So no one will submit new portal nomination duplicate.
But is there a problem came from nomination e-mail (prime) and Pokemon Go nomination e-mail. I can't get the EXIF data from the image nomination in the e-mail.
Is there a way to get that data? or maybe the developer can add coordinate information to the submission e-mail confirmation. So it will be easy to managing submission new portal.
nb: no problem with old e-mail confirmation while using redacted for submitting a new portal nomination.

Do you have location tags turned on in your camera app? Normally, this is turned off by default for privacy reasons.
When I use redacted to submit, EXIF data is normal (stored to the storage and from email is still there too). But when using prime, the photo not stored to the storage and then I check the photo from the e-mail the data EXIF isn't in there. Checking another photo (from friend email) the result is the same.
I think NIA has a different method to distribute the photo for some reason.
But I think it's better when NIA still distribute the EXIF data from portal submission photo in Prime and Pokemon Go Email like in Redacted. the purpose is for managing portal submissions.
Can you help me to check your email (email confirmation for nomination portal from Prime) and try to get EXIF data from the link of the photo in the email?
Can you copy and paste the url from the email, for the photo, just something I want to try to see if the exif data is in fact still there, but hidden.
You can use a Google mymaps to keep track of submissions. Several people can edit the same map

for Online checking I use: https://www.verexif.com/en/
for programmatically (Python): Pillow Package
for some reason, the link is just thumbnail. So it needs to add "=s0" (without quote) behind the link. It will show you the real resolution from the image.
Yes, I do but for accurate and automatically program where the submit a location, it needs Coordinate from the picture.
But if it's still impossible to get EXIF data from the email (prime and pokemon Go). I will create new maps program with public access to Lv 10+ Ingress Player and 40 in Pokemon Go so they can give their information in portal submission but "manually" LMAO 😂. Sorry I hate to work manual.
I can't get any images from the prime or pogo links.
Odd, just getting 404's, even when changing to https and / or adding =s parameters
On Android, the photos you take through Prime when creating nominations are saved to Android/data/com.nianticproject.ingress/files/Pictures/poiSubmission on your internal storage. These include the original EXIF data.
Cancelling the submission appears to delete the pictures though -- I haven't completed a nomination in Prime, but I suspect they're likely removed on submission too.
Edited, Sorry wrong link when copying

What I'm thinking is NIA send different picture link or It's because when processing, when get data from user, save, and distributed as e-mail confirmation causes deleted the EXIF data.
I will try to find an other information in OPR group, hope they will help me to get image from Pokemon Go or prime portal nomination when reviewing.
It's likely that they **** the EXIF information before committing the files to Google's cloud storage, meaning it won't be available to OPR or emails.
OK, the revised links worked, and nothing I tried has resulted in any exif data.
There was something in an Ama on g+ about submitters being identifiable from the exif data, and the suggestion from the response was that they might remove the data.
Personally I find it very useful for detecting fake camera subs etc, but hey ho.
All right, so basically the NIA's decision to delete EXIF data is. Thank you for helping me. Is there a way to close this topic?
Hm... I opened the gmail web interface, selected the last candidate submission confirmation (from last week) copied the portal photos address, pasted that to the url field at metapicz.com and voila all my EXIF information including GPS coordinates is there.
Prime or redacted submission?
The first screen cap above is the oldest of the two.
Redacted
