Oh I did the bulk of leveling in Redacted. When I was forced into Prime I pretty much gave up what I enjoyed doing, because everything is so terribly slow in prime with all of its particle spew. That and a constant 5fps... It's a hunk of ****.
Only reason I didn't uninstall it is because our ENL Community is so awesome.
But sure, go on believing what you like, you do you.
It's a shame that prime uses so many more RAM and CPU than redacted, but those are device problems. I changed my phone last year and all my problems with prime faded away.
Maybe posting some helpful information like are you inside or outside? (could make a difference). What type of device you are using, what OS, updates, what version of the app, ect. Looks like you have the Lookout App running. Any alerts in there that something might be getting blocked potentially?
Sorry about this issue team. As I've said previously, we're working on moving over our infrastructure to a new environment and our cache isnt scaling, so it works and then goes down. We're trying to fix the issue, but scaling issues only appear on the live environment. Again, I apologize for the downtime and hope you'll work with us as we try to figure this out.
Time to make some post on @niantic_support twitter and other social media to inform about you knowing about the issue and that you are working on a fix. There is lots of uncertainty and frustration in the local chats atm.
As @EvilSuperHeros mentioned, there was an issue that persisted yesterday that was causing this type of behavior, but this has been resolved and normal gameplay should be restored. @argenex are you still experiencing this issue?
You're right that nothing has changed recently, but it is not user error if you ask to fire a burster and it gives you a power cube. Even if you were out of XM - and this does happen occasionally even when there is plenty of XM. And if it moved there because you were out of XM, and you fire one cube, it should go back to bursters, because now you're not out of XM.
The power cubes were put there next to the bursters in Ingress 1.x because there wasn't a quick way to cube while you burst (even so, I rarely used it). But in Ingress Prime there is a quick-cube method so the power cubes should be removed from the burster menu again. If they are not removed, they should never come up as the default option when you ask to fire a burster, no matter what the circumstances (unless, I guess, it had no option because there are no weapons in inventory - but in that case it should just refuse to enter the burster menu like Ingress 1.x did).
However, (a) if your XM bar is 90% full you can use a cube and you probably wasted most of that cube; and (b) you can still use Hypercubes - in fact the interface will sometimes select a Hypercube automatically when the XM bar is full.
It is true that you waste some XM in (a). You don't waste any XM in (b) since if your XM bar is not 100%, the first thing a hypercube does is drain itself to fill it to 100%.
I don't recall the power cube scrolling being an issue while attacking. I think it is because I tap on "+" on the upper left to refill while attacking.

Also because very early on, they disabled the auto-scroll, so that you had to actively choose to use the cubes. It only opens up to cubes if you're out of XM when you open the attack bar. Otherwise its a new bug.

A big pile of trash that you enjoyed it so much to reach lv 15 two times.
I'll take "I don't understand the difference between local stored data and server data" for 1000 CMU, NIA Ops.

Looks like server issues anyway. Maybe we should tag @ofer2?

Not everyone can afford a new, better phone. My phone does this a lot with Prime.
Moto G6 android 9. Does it outside and inside. It's annoying. Cricket
We just had a field miss checkpoint because of this nonsense.

Yeah issues worldwide now
Great idea to do this change three days before the Perpetua Hexathlon event.
If you read the news, they said there are server issues and it is affecting the game. This is affecting all users and not just you.
doesn't matter it's happening to me and most others around MSP inside and out the past few days... not carrier specific
There was actually a big issue yesterday. Go take a read, but per Niantic, the issues should be currently resolved.
Hi there,

I had to restart the game twice today cause it's not loading or drawing the map.
And who decided to put power cubes in front of xmps in the attack carousel????
Power Cubes were to the left of Bursters in Redacted for many years...
Yes you are right. But today when I was firing Xmps, I ended up wasting a bunch of cubes. It's like to didn't rotate to the bursters......
Sure. You were probably out of XM. That's user error, nothing has changed about it recently.

Wasn't out of XM. Had a full bar.
You can't use cubes when you have a full xm bar so nothing was wasted
