Improved Portal visuals yields improved Mods destruction animation

The recent Portal visuals improvements on the map screen have greatly benefited the Scanner experience.

However, the new larger and brighter Portal visuals makes the Mods destruction animation almost invisible.

In fact, Prime has never been really great to show Mods “jumping out” of the Portals.

It would be important to refine the destruction animation by both enlarging the jumping Mod size and making it opaque (remove the current transparency).

    Shields are less visible to. They look more faded away.

    Also, green portals don't have the same aura that the blues have, making them look smaller.

    I have a different take on Prime’s vs. Redacted’s visuals for destroyed mods:

    • The “flying out” animation for anything that is not a shield mod is significantly more dramatic and visible in Prime. They’re practically like shoo.ting stars, except in reverse.
    • The “shield destroyed” animation for a shield mod is (was) significantly more dramatic and visible in Redacted. The shield bubbles turned red, which contrasted well with their normal blue and green colors. In Prime, the purple ring collapsing in on itself when the shield mod is destroyed is quite difficult to distinguish from the purple ring signifying that the portal is under attack.

    I would like more if all shield levels were the same color as the portal faction, like it was in redacted. Showing a pink bright shield is giving away farms and protected portals easier, that would pass unnoticed before.
