37 candidates "in voting"!!!

Hi!

My actual queue of "in voting" candidates reached 37 (nice number ah?) and some of them are in that state since 2 months ago (exactly since the pokemon go players was accepted in wayfarer in argentina)

What is going on??

I've got candidates in voting since I hit lv 10 on Ingress in June, it's now Feb. Some people have been waiting 2 years. 2 months is completely normal.

@ph3d have you been reviewing? Review to get upgrades and they'll go through faster - and you'll be helping everyone else out.

i dont mean "in queue" but "in voting" inside the Nominations tabs of Wayfarer

  • Yeah, the system is broken. Stuff being stuck for ages often got nothing to do with not being upgraded or not enough reviewers. There are people having stuff stuck in voting for literally years.

I also got upgraded stuff stuck in voting in a range of a couple weeks and months. Most of them are 5* candidates. Usually upgraded nominations in my active areas are in voting for 1-4 days. The views on my photospheres only show the kind of activity they had while nominated stuff in those locations was just queued. I don't get why this stuff ended up in voting if there is no one reviewing at all.

I often withdrew and resubmitted stuff, just to have it then accepted within the local usual voting times - if it hit voting and not stayed queued forever. Or another person submitted the same stuff later and had it accepted without having it stuck. It's happening everywhere around me and it's frustrating everyone. It's wasting time, nominations, upgrades, maybe clogs the system and also your own list.

It's like the system tosses a coin twice on nominations. One for hitting voting and another for voting with people actually reviewing...

The is really frustrating if you review over a thousand nominations each week to be able to upgrade all your stuff just to have the result of no result. -_-

Got you beat - I have 41 in voting! And I do Wayfarer with regularity.

I wish upgrades seemed to do anything.

I think a partial solution would be to queue line submissions at the L17 cell level behind upgraded submissions. Upgraded submissions should get priority so if someone submits a submission and no upgrades it goes into voting if it is upgraded it triggers a lock on the cell until the results on the upgraded are tabulated. I have a basketball court I submitted as did at least one other person i have seen the same potential wayspot floating around multiple times in voting this this should not be happening. Mine had a small typo as did another submission and lastly the third had the description and title correct.

In voting just means somebody got it to vote on. Last I counted, I was around 120 in voting and 250ish total pending.

Not enough people reviewing, if you want the queue to clear you need to start doing a lot of reviews.

  • I know what you mean, and yes, I got stuff still "in voting" since July. I actually just upgraded one of them yesterday, it finally got accepted within hours of being upgraded. Guess it only needed 1 or 2 more yes votes.

  • I have 30 pending nominations, most of them "In Voting", some still in queue, I can nominate 9 more, and tomarrow another 2-3, so I better stop nomination or the list will increase and increase...
