@NianticBrian @NianticCasey please, confirm already that offsite participation is not provided and was mistakenly mentioned before

Im puzzled how a badge for a remote solo hexathlon is supposed to work? on anomaly u get it for either decode something or be in a recharge room but on hexathlons that are solo events i dont understand how those would work ?

  • Did you read the post that's linked at the top? (I would have turned comments off on this post if I could)

You can't participate off-site in hexatholon, because one of the criteria for completion is to collect artifacts, which drop from specific local portals shown on the map you get from hacking the starting portal.

I did and it makes zero sense, sorry u feel hurt from something that u made up..

  • No, you just said you were puzzled how it would work, and the post lays it out in clear specific points. I'm sorry if you can't keep up. 😏

Its not really remote to me if it would work the same remote or onsite doing the individual challenges, then they can just aswell just make hexathlons within FS and u will get your badge after completed objectives , no need for any remote things.. its different with anomalies there u wanna help your team a bit even remote but on hexathlons it just seems weird since its all solo challenges and zero teamplay.

Or just do a basic remote badge with less objectives and make so that u dont need any actual playbox or whatever..

    It doesn't?

Onsite participants have an open ended requirement based on the others around them, competing for the Elite badge. Offsite participants would just have a fixed set of requirements.

This is simply a way for people who can't participate on-site, to be able to feel included and involved. Something that Ingress has been severely lacking, and will continue to lack for at least the next 6 months.
