@Mirthmaker Nobody has ever convinced me that removing the option to hide stats would do anything to reduce spoofers. It might make it slightly easier for people to identify suspected spoofers but Niantic would still have to have enough internal confirmation to take action, and that's the actual weak point.
Forcing stats open would certainly increase harassment.

It's easier just to hide the stats and give them no info. They'll eventually get tired and move on.
If its not on comm then mute them in whatever app. Unless they are writing you letters?

They don't play anymore. Issue is gone. All I meant was it's an easy, one step, no thinking, possible solution for some to just hide stats.
People suck. You don't have to experience it to know people use data to their advantage.
