For those who solved the challenge and don't show up in leaderboard... did you try re-redeeming the passcode in app?. You'll get the "already redeemed" message for sure but I think it might -kick- the bug and check/confirm you get the media.
Thanks, that kinda worked. Now i got something that fits to the Archetype, but it says invalid. I also found the same word in the keywords list. Am i on the wrong track ?
yes, i see numbers, but always two give me a letter, so are two needed for the hashtag or just one ? I had 46 digits that gave me 23 letters. Hope you get me
I've had the proper decode several times over the last few days - just didn't recognize/see the passcode in the decode - not a word I'd ever heard of - even as a native English speaker... finally got the media
And I realize now that I could have guessed the passcode with what I had in maybe 1 or 2 guesses without even knowing the word...
I'm learning from this one that I need to try my guesses earlier in the contest, rather than questioning myself.
Once you have the 23 letters, forget the original digits. You have to find numbers from these letters. Have you ever decoded passcodes during first Saturday?
After finding out the 23 lowercase letters it is important to take a look a it once, and twice... and once again and again... first step to do is to find the KEYWORD associated with the challenge. There's no need for complex decoding afterwards, the passcode is there, just "shrink" it and the aaa#aaKEYWORD##aa is solved.
No, and I am not going to try that unless instructed to by Niantic, because I do not want it to record a solve time that is over 48 hours after the time I really solved it (also I don't believe it will make any difference).
I stand by my original statement. A 128B barcode decodes to alphanumerics - specifically, in this case, lower case letters. This one states that it is 128C, but that does not mean it's not lying. If you decode it manually, you are better off using 128B.

I have the barcode and can't seem to figure out what to do next. This is really quite frustrating.
Any hint how to get get the 23 letters ? Got the 46 digits too
@arsoudre @Nr2
Say "thanks" to @az32612 ☺️
What am I converting to?
I think i have the word but... I give up 😩

thanks to everyone for the hints on here finally got it!
Thats because it is a numerical code so even if you read it manually you should endup with numbers
Those numbers mean something :)
my name is still not shown on the scoreboard...
I've successfully decoded it on 20:10 JST(GMT+9), Dec. 10
so... should i appeal when i get a media? ridiculous!
I'm stuck in the barcode, I'm not able to read it correctly
Found the keyword, but have no idea how to get the rest of the sequence, I got the dumb
Decoded corrected all letters uppercase,
It's possible to 'incorrectly' get lowercase, but by nature it still works
I think im getting closer 'aaa#aaKeyword##aa' a and keywords are clear now. Just the #... Is the first part used or the whole digit ?
I don't understand your question, - each # is a number...
Do you see any numbers?

I solved the challenge this last night.
it's first time to read bar code manually🤣
The '1' around you is not what it seems.
I feel the same. Will try again later. I can’t get a valid barcode or scanner to work.
Thanks for the info, will see what I get out of this.
This is my fist time trying to solve such a puzzle. Never decoded passcodes before ....

@NineBerry fixed!, thanks.
Correct format is aaa#aaKEYWORD##aa

Whew... well I got it..
Thanks for all the tips. My first decode in Ingress... without some of the pointers, I would have certainly been lost..
Good luck to the rest of you!
Edit: And of course I didnt show up on the results page.. ah well... "I" know I got it :)

one hour typing the keyword wrong (🖕 dyslexia 🤣)
But that is wrong advise and potentially confusing...
Passcode is suppose to be uppercase....
Those numbers convert to uppercase :)
Nice that you found a shortcut...
The passcode is NOT a 23-char string @HaroldOwl
