Here's ANOTHER issue with INTEL. Using STOCK Intel, when you click on the Regional Score, it immediately goes to "Cool down in effect" Like there's a ton of requests for the region score. I haven't had intel open on the computer at all All day.
This NEEDS to be fixed as SOON as possible. PLEASE get it fixed before the end of THIS Cycle.
Actually, no, it's not IITC's fault, its missing data.
IITC and Stock generate placeholder portals, because they're only given the link. When viewing at z=15 or lower, and you're presented with a link and no corresponding portal, it means the data is missing. IITC and Stock would have represented it this way.
Do you have the ability to find the entry for this portal in the network traffic? Another Operator highlighted to me recently that there are portals with no timestamp (zeroed) which IITC will display as a placeholder instead of a real portal. This may be a "Not Stock" problem (except for getEntities sending portals with a zero'd timestamp).
I've an ethernet switch with port mirroring between my wifi AP and the house router, but I've never got around to setting it up.
Alternatively I could sort out how to build IITC mobile so I could trace it from there. (Or get the files for 'developer mode' so the scripts can be edited - I've a working copy of 'vi' on this tablet.)
Or I could test on desktop - where monitoring is trivial and all of IITC is scripts.
On Desktop, just make sure (using Chrome) that you have the Developer Console open, and the Network tab will allow you to find the specifics. You should be able to search for a portal name in that and get the responses that contained it.

OK so Intel is completely broken at the moment. Also the only way for iOS users to redeem passcodes.
So I can't get the daily code redeemed. Android device also giving error when redeeming: "an error occurred". Nice.
I suggest stop touching stuff and wait until the supervisor returns so he can slap the people that broke everything.

Captain's Log: Jan 3rd of the 20th year of the 2nd millennium,
Intel map broke, still. Troops are just out there, making sh^t-links and what not.
Forgive them, Lord for they are lost without proper intel.
As we wait anxiously for the boss to patch up the tools we need to move forward, lest we waste fuel and data with poor intel is...well, it's not fun.
Godspeed, agents.
Keep refreshing those maps!
I noticed a single portal without its level number. It should be a P8 but displayed as a 'placeholder.
That's an issue with IITC, more specifically with an IITC plugin.
It has nothing to do with the stock Intel provided by Niantic.

Turning off display of unclaimed/placeholder portals deleted the portal marker.
Two more, one shows a ghost link from a placeholder to an unclaimed (decayed) portal, the other some links between 'missing' portals.

If I put my mind to it I could.

I'm more at home writing kernel network protocol code that finding browser consoles :-)
Intel are very slow now and dont show gray portals until i reload Intel. Please take look and fix it soon.
