Bug: only notified of "nearby" portals I've interacted with.
I traveled about 140 miles from my home to a town I've never played in. I thought I might do a mission while I was in a new town, selected one, then drove a bit out of town, and decided to cancel that mission, as the first portal was 7K away. I swung my map view around a bit to see where nearby portals were, found three, then realized something odd.
The "nearby" portals had familiar names... but not familiar from the mission, or from portals I had seen (but had not interacted with) while in this new town.
Confused, I checked the mission again.
"Nearby portals" appear to show me only the two or three nearest portals that I have interacted with in the past. In this case, I'm being notified of 3 portals that are 150-200 KM to my North, despite the fact that there is an entire page of missions, and portals 7-8 KM away from me.
Which matters more to me right now?
Wouldn't it be better if I could go to an unfamiliar town, and know where 2-3 new portals are, so I can get some unique hacks while I travel? Wouldn't I quickly learn the three portals closest to my home by memory? Wouldn't it be better if portals we haven't interacted with be shown as well?
