Wayfarer App?

@NianticBrian would it be possible for you guys to make wayfarer a separate app that allows reviewing and edits to submission (photos, text that are waiting to be reviewed) instead of the web page???
It could also incorporate the may and mission planning site. Making one big team instead or 3 separate ones. More people being able to work on one project will be more reliable than 3 smaller teams working on there own projects

You can access the site on your phone, on most if not all mobile browsers.
Developing a mobile app that will need to be available for Android/iOS/etc is a waste of resources that are better used elsewhere.
An app would be able to give more functions than currently on offer. It's not like the browser doesn't have it's own set of faults it could be the same team that are running the site that creates the app no extra resources needed.
What more functionality would it need that only an app can provide?
Oh and the resources that developed the site may not be mobile app developers. It's a bad assumption to make.
Well now we can edit names and descriptions on wayfarer unlike before an app would allow permissions to edit photos and location edits. That alone is a plus
For submissions still in the queue? If that were needed, the site can accommodate those as well.
Not for camera access they dont. And again it would bring together forgotten parts of things like missions.
We already know that pogo players will be getting them a one stop shop just makes more sense.
The Intel map could be loaded to the app would make it easier. So many benefits of having it in one place just making game play easier.

Not a bad thing, just very much redundant. The site can and does cater for the things relevant to reviewing poi nominations, without needing to develop a separate app for different mobile platforms.
Intel is only available for ingress players. Pogo players will not be able to access it.
And not sure what missions would have to do with Wayfarer, as missions are also only relevant to Ingress.
I've question-ed this via Support center before (and about separate Intel official app too),but unfortunately now it's not planned. But it should be a great idea. With app like that i'd like to continue recon-ing, but with that new whitened (horrible imo) design and from browser...not now,maybe someday:)
Editing picture is redundant. Don't even submit if you aren't happy with it tbh
Description and title is nice because you can think of a better way to word it or get more information after. Submitting is almost entirely done in the field, after all.
Location is also not needed. Put it where it is and leave it at that. If you don't know where it is, don't submit lmao
Missions have been confirmed to be added to pogo so would make worth adding to such an app.
You clearly haven't subbed anything that is in a bad signal area or almost accidentally sent the wrong picture for nomination.
I have submitted something at a distance and have had to withdraw a nomination because I forgot to move the location from where I was. An app would be an easy tool to go back in and move it.
An app costs money to develop. A lot of money. That's money that could be better spent improving the existing game. All the functionality discussed could be added to the existing web interface for much less cost.

And that's different to the current system how?
Look at how many are complaining now. An app offer more reliability and can offer a report a issue button. Does the site have that?
When apps are made simple they dont need to cost lots of money.
The system is still currently broken I'm suggesting a newer more reliable one that will integrate other things. if that's a bad idea it's no worse than half the stuff I see on here about made up items that make the game easier.
Just seems like a lot of people dont like change or new ideas on here
i rather see them fix the game not invest resources in a useless app thats not even needed.....
What exactly are the current issues you're referring to?
And how is the system broken?
Did you people know how a website works?
Changes are simple and improvements can be made more easy than in a separate app.
Wayfarer don't need an app.
If you think wayfarer is "broken", you don't understand the system and this is a very different story.

Changes on apps are just as easy you clearly dont know how apps work.
So what problems that you think are on the game? Can you not play it? Of course you can you just dont like change. That's the problem.
The wayfarer system is broken clearly you dont read the issues that are occurring at the moment in it. I'm not suggesting that an app would fix this but would be easier to report than endless threads to a community that cant do anything.
I sub from low signal a lot. To the point I take 1:1 photos to upload more smoothly. Just pay attention to the review your submission prompt lmao
And what about upgrades and nominations stuck in que? As a say an app would be easier with a report a bug button.
Those are not bugs, btw. Upgrades and nominations "stuck in queue" just haven't been reviewed yet. That's a human factor, not a system issue.
If they wanted to, they could add that to the site easily.
So we're back to no reasons to make an app

Umm.... whut? Nominations are already "in-app". IE Ingress Prime and Pokemon Go. And they're done the way they are for a reason.
Correct they are in both apps but in both are using the much slower system. Yes it looks better but I'd sooner have the old system back that was faster. An app would allow that to happen
The reason it's slower is to allow you to provide supporting information for your nomination, that will in turn allow your reviewers to make a better decision when reviewing your nomination. It also allows you a chance to correct any spelling or location errors before you submit. It's not about the "looks".
All in all, there is no justifiable reason for having a separate Wayfarer app. The site is functional and accessible and serves the purpose for which it was designed.

So you feel that having everything spread of different web pages a good idea? I didnt question the time it takes for the nomination to leave the que system I ment the time it takes for how long it actually takes trying to find a place for the signal to work 1st time. Redacted never had this issue.
A one stop shop like an app brings everything together in a neat package.

If you are having trouble loading the game Ina low signal area, you are aware that you can submit portals up to 25kms away right? You have bigger issues if you can't get good service in that radius
I dont have trouble loading the game and I have had full signal and subs still haven't gone through.
You were just complaining about submitting in low service areas and how redacted was better so idk.
There is an actual issue right now where some submissions will take your slot but won't confirm for 2+ weeks. If you're having issues submitting due to failed upload, see if you can toggle settings to make your photos lower quality. My fix was changing it to 1:1 aspect ratio. It's also great for making sure it turns out good for thumbnails, photo discs, etc
