What to do with upgraded Wayfarer submissions stuck "in queue"

The submissions are stuck "in queue" since many months. They have been Upgraded since the first day of Wayfarer, but don't move.

It's a highly crowded area with many reviewers and dozends of submissions accepted/rejected every week.

  • Waiting is the only thing you can do, hope your submission reviewed soon.

Just sit and wait, atleast you can see now when it eventually gets moved to In voting.

  • I wonder if it could be that other reviews are ahead in queue for the region, which seem to process 1 at a time to allow proper duplicate checking, and they don't get higher priority even if the upgrade behind them does.

Nominations do seem to be shown in order from newest to oldest, or am I mistaken about that? So maybe it's just that there's so many new nominations in your region that nobody ever gets around to reviewing the oldest pending nominations...?

  • Yep, they totally seem to. Which is the worst way to handle such a system. Would explain why my stuff is stuck in queue and voting limbo for weeks and months. Would also explain why I get submission from the same people a couple times in a row with the actual weather there is here.

  • I have 2 stuck "in queue" for over 2 years. How long do we wait?

  • Tag up niantic. I had a few stuck in the system after asking for them to be looked into they started coming back. ( Approved)

  • I have 10 nominations from 2018 still in queue (none upgraded though) and around a dozen from earlier this year. Some of them have been in the system so long that I resubmitted them, and a couple of the resubmissions got approved within weeks.

  • Yeah, they got something in their system going on which seems to prevent submissions being shown - on purpose. I mean, I got 13 submissions waiting, 2 of them in vote for almost 3 weeks. All of them in high active areas.

Most of them are right next to each other. Often kinda the same kind of submission (like a playing ground). My group assumes that it has to do with something like this.

It's also observed that people here submit stuff, upgrade it, it stumbles into voting and... dies. Then another person submits it 2 weeks later and it gets accepted within a day.

So... yeah... The system is doing something and I'm not sure if that's a bug. Besides apparently showing new submissions first...

What I will try to do next time is to submit stuff as far away as possible from each other, with variation if possible and on 2-3 different days. See if it helps anything.
