Is it only me or anyone else think that the Ingress Prime's FPS is quite low? I guess they've limited it to 30 or 25, but I think maybe there could be a toggle that can set fps to 60. This can make the game smoother.
It definitely runs very slow. I think many times it's running at less than 30fps with a 30 being the maximum. Phones are so powerful now there's really no reason to to be running so slow. It should default at 60 and have the option to turn it down to 30, maybe part of the low power mode.
I'd better like an option of "lower detail" to make Ingress fast and not so hungry on my toaster xD but yes i believe that "default quality" and "lower detail" need a "higher graphics" option in a complex,or maybe even "advanced settings" option to turn on/off what we prefer.
I've been playing on a Razer Phone 2, the phone has a 120Hz screen which plays butter smooth compared to every other phone I've seen others play with. I can switch the refresh rate to 30/60/90Hz in Razer's game performance software and it makes a huge difference keeping the setting at 120Hz.
I doubt they're limiting the FPS to 30, I feel like my phone would run worse if that were the case. I know a big issue for phones is usually they prioritize power efficiency and color reproduction over raw FPS. So they use low refresh rate screens with more latency, much like comparing flat-screen TVs to high end computer gaming monitors.
Not everything is perfect on the Razer though... If I switch apps I frequently get "speed locked" because my location drops/restarts when I switch focus. Intensely annoying. Wonder if anyone else has that issue.

game seems to run at 30fps.
Is it just me or does glyphing work on a different refresh rate?
This is one area where I'm not sure what the difference is between Prime and Redacted. Did redacted have similar FPS?

isnt glyph now 60fps smooth ?
How about a warning screen if you use a naughty word on these forums lol
<Call of Duty FPS jokes>
The game is set to a max of 30FPS to ensure that everyone regardless of what mobile they have will have the best experience possible
Many devices will not be able to run at 60FPS and will overheat
Need to install a VR Heatsink then, don’t they? 😉
I see what you did there 😂😂
