Mail boxes etc, UPS fall into ''postal services''?
Hello everyone. Had an argument in my local wayfarer community, about approving mail boxes etc (MBE), UPS locations because according to some, they fell in the ''postal service - connect people everywhere. Which is your opinion regarding those, and could @NianticMP, @RedSoloCup say something about it? Thanks!

I use the same logical as this, transit hubs can be POI include light rail stations, but not every bus stop. So any post office even rural dual purpose one, but any or every post box no.
@harkonnnen I haven't thought about that, nice comparison.
Mailboxes aren't portal criteria
@Mrajani Have you seen the statement about post offices in the Wayfarer help?
Has already been answered in a AMA, as not valid
Yeah, the current guidelines are clear about it.
Though it is inconvenient for those of us who live in countries where post offices are getting rarer by the day. We don't have many left, they've been replaced by automated postal lockers which aren't valid as per the guidelines.
They specifically stated the post office branch not the postal box. I don't know why they removed the post box from the reject reasons in Wayfarer help.
@Theisman I missed that! But I’m glad even AMA’s confirmed my point, about those being invalid. Thank you so much!
This is where that local consideration should come in, in a large town or city per guideline they should be rejected However if it's in a small tiny town that can clearly be seen has limited POI opportunities and it's a central post office box locker then the reviewer should take that into account
If we were talking about small tiny towns, I would admit those (if there isn't anything else) but my point was about MBE (mail boxes etc) as a company, or FedEX that offer mail services
Yes, I wasn't meaning like suburban areas etc, just like here in Outback Australia. If you can see on the nearby and satelight that there is so very few opportunity for POI there then I would consider making an exception. That its even said in thr guidelines that you can use some descression/common sense
