Submit ALL the things!
Q: Can we submit all man made objects.
A: NIA Ops says "If they are accessible by foot, and expected to be used by humans, they would meet criteria."
So does that mean every trash can, unmarked park bench and public toilet now meets the criteria?

And dog Poop stations too
Oh yes, how could forget them!
I'm actually seriously tempted to submit 14 trash cans this weekend and quote NIA Ops in the supporting info.
Am I missing something? This wasn't in the recent AMA...
The joke is related to the answer about footbridges being eligible.
Ah. I suspected as much, but I'd be careful, without any context it's too easy for people to take this as gospel and start to copy/paste it around.
Why you hating on bridges? I don't get why people's personal opinions matter so much to them on Wayfarer. Just review everything per the guidelines. And if you REALLY don't like the guidelines, then just review per the guidelines. If you think the guidelines rock, then I don't have to say you should just review per the guidelines.
It's their product to decide what they want as portals. Nobody is making you participate.
The problems are that the guidelines are not always clear and sometimes they seem contradictory. Unlike most things, pedestrian bridges no longer have to have anything unique about them to qualify, no history, no cultural value, no artistic value, as long as they are on a trail.
Here is a man made thing I just got to review!
yes I got this last night lol. 1* coal = free upgrade.
Is it that hard to understand a pedestrian bridge in a park or a trail? I mean if it is something with railing over a culvert with no span that is obviously 1*. A lot of things are easy to answer but people nit pick everything to **** to fit their personal liking instead of giving honest answers to the guide. It seems that is it easier to make excuses to find a way to deny than to actually give submissions a fair shot from what I have seen.
is anyone else getting random comments that won't post and no swear words? I was trying to reply about what is valid in a park and basically saying people over think submissions and it kept getting rejected. A pedestrian bridge is valid if it crosses a river or a creek with a span not something with basic hand rails and concrete slab over a culvert. It has to have actual gap under the bridge. not pipes that run under the concrete. I can post examples.
@SoylentGrien unfortunately, they do have interest to have more POI as possible, :(
"... expected to be used by humans ... "
This forum suffers from what programmers refer to as the clbuttic problem (Google will give you it's other name, which I won't even try to post here): it spots rude words in substrings.
I had to earlier rephrase re: a tv show's filming location instead of the normal "s h o o t i n g" language. Yay?
