What does "Improve XM visibility" means?
The statement "Improve XM visibility" is mentioned in more than one version update log.
Can anybody explain what did Niantic actually do in these improvements (for example, did they make XM brighter, or darker, or make it look totally different in other way?
I took this screenshot of overbright XM in remote portal view one or two versions before, still don't know whether Niantic has fixed this or not.

They have had trouble making it show up how they want it, it's been way underdone for a while but now it's really intense
Niantic has had a lot of trouble making XM bright enough to display on many devices, particularly affecting flagship phones form Apple and Samnsung. For example, I can't see any XM on my Samsung Galaxy S9+. Even in XM dense areas, it looks like a barely visible fog in the background.
A lot of agents would **** to have xm that bright. A lot of phones render it near invisible for some reason. It's a per device problem and Niantic is always tweaking it trying to find a good balance that everyone is happy with.
@Ethern believe it or not, what you have is actually, a bug.
On the S9+ that I have, the ping is what highlights the surrounding XM. Poorly
XM is visible for 0.5 seconds, every 5 seconds
I much rather have the constant bright XM over the pinged bright XM, makes the scanner look alot less empty in areas with limited portals and easier to identify my own path of travel if I am trying to pacman up the free XM for the pupose of recharging.
