Problems during anomaly

Dear Nia, good evening!

Give me back my 15€, please. I'll need that money to pay for a psych course. The course is necessary after the stress I experienced from a disconnected server during the European anomaly.

P. S. If without jokes, then law about the rights of the consumer, point about poorly rendered service.

Can you actually cite the law in question? I'm curious what legal standards your nation sets for video game performance.

So since they are now charging for the actual anomaly, I guess it does fall under purchased service(s). When we just got to spend up to $99 for those VR swag packs it was just a swag purchase.

    Hmmm 🤔

I'd be demanding a refund and compensation for non-game costs. Cite the PoGo fest as precedent.

  • I wonder what was situation on Asian side of the anomalies. Was it as bad? Haven't seen any rant yet.

Can't blame Niantic for carrier data throttling.

  • If you're at this point I'd recommend just calling your credit card company and requesting a chargeback.

Nobody got compensated "for non-game costs." The law just doesn't work like that in the United States. If it did, no company could ever risk holding an event ever.

That's simply not true. See http://gofestsettlement.com/frequently-asked-questions.aspx for proof.

Companies have to use reasonable care and attention when organising events. As long as they do not behave in a negligent way, they have nothing to fear. Niantic were negligent in not providing sufficient cell/wifi connections when it was obvious that the event would need that.
