Not quite as fast like Field Test, which is honestly what I expected. We are using Prime only, they have switched over to Prime only backend, and they can do near real time tracking of our portal hacks. No reason they can't award the badge right away, for on-site people.
But, I agree, these days you should get the badge within a couple of days. Most likely Tuesday.
Players in Dresden paid the most in the world for medals and participation in anomalies. They paid for what? For broken application? For a medal which they cannot get for 4 days?
Anomaly medals used to be either instant or super fast (minutes or a few hours) with a code or check-in and registration portal hack. Now that we have a new ticketing system, some new requirements that could be automatically checked and have to pay they take days, maybe even a week?
What exactly was Niantic charging that $15 for? It certainly doesn't seem to be for any improved service.
Do you have access to any information on what challenges the team is facing that is causing it to take so long? Would help with creating support and patience to know.
Its four days, and I'm just genuinely trying to gain more insight into how the new system is working out to improve understanding of what is going on with it. Calm down.
Medals haven't been same-day since they stopped using codes on cards. Some they switched to hack-based confirmation, Tuesday after the anomaly has been the usual.
Passcodes for medals went away to **** a secondary market for said codes. I have an old unused Persepolis code I could probably get a few hundred dollars for on eBay, if I wanted to go that way. (I don't. Put down the banhammer, mods.)
I think the only time badges were pushed to scanner right then was when they handed out the passcode card things on site with them in it. It's been a long while since then and they've moved to pushing them to keep people who didn't attend from getting them (via illicit purchase or whatever means)
Nobody is particularly supportive, nor patient. They just don't have any other options but to wait [indeterminate length of time] for [unspecified reasons].
If you're going to charge for something that used to be free, you really REALLY ought to do something to provide value for the extra spend. As it is, you're doing a fantastic job of alienating the most committed of your dwindling player base.
I'd argue its not Niantic that is alienating the most commited, its the vocal minority of players complaining that is. Absolutely annoying seeing all these complaints that do nothing to actually help improve the experience of Ingress or the community.
When so many suggestion to improve it has been ignored and many of the mistakes Niantic makes are due to failing basic expectations or basic amounts of actually thinking through an idea there isn't much left to do.
The vast majority of players don't use these forums, and also didn't go to the anomalies.
I am willing to wait and not complain. I attended the field test and badges were pushed before I sat down for food with other agents. I was hoping this would be the standard going forward. Maybe that’s in the works.

Like other event medals (First Saturday, Mission Day...), it takes a couple of days to get to your scanner. Don't worry.
Anomaly Badges are very fast. Maybe you will get the badge on monday.
Maybe Tuesday

You must be new here.
Honestly this post is 100% meme-able. Thank you for providing us with this. I’ll use it sometime.
Just wait for it..it will eventually be in your scanner ;)
It always takes a bit to have it...as almost all badges in Ingress
Disappointing that the field test stuff hasn't been implemented. As soon as the anomaly finished the badge should have been pushed.
Maybe even today (Wednesday)
Maybe Thursday... Soon...
Maybe Friday or next Monday.
Did anyone vote for next Tuesday yet?

I haven't seen the last FS badges pushed either.
Definitely Soon™
We're working on distributing in-app Umbra anomaly medals. Thank you for your support and your patience.

Dude, the medal is like one day overdue, and they used a new system for off-site medals. Calm down.

Communication is key. Even if things aren't working as expected. The days long silence from NIA did not help at all.
*regarding the anomaly weekend issues.
Most people understand that stuff can go haywire. A little explanation goes A LONG WAY

Maybe I've misremembered then since it changed to hack based, but I was pretty sure I got my badge morning of for Portland a couple years ago.
If I am wrong then we'll I'm wrong. Happens.
Even then though, with a new ticketing system and charging money you'd think it could happen faster.

Niantic Brian never answered if you are cheater or are you thieft? I really need to know. 😂
