Can't "Ask Question" in any portal appeals category

I get the above notification whenever I try. I'm confused, as I am a two star forum member, yet I have seen one star level users able to post questions (I believe they're questions) and receive responses.

What am I doing wrong?

    It seems nobody can (judging by the amount of "questions" in the appeal section)

    Just use a regular discussion until @NianticCasey fixes it


    EDIT:

    You can, if you select Ask a question on the main forum page and select the category from there.

    You can not if you try to ask a question directly in the category

  • Thanks for tagging me @XQlusioN, I know this has been ongoing for a while. I checked in with our community developers and they're still looking into what's causing this issue.

    I know that's not a great answer since this has been an open issue for a while but the difficulty is that it's specific to this one subcategory, as other subcategories with similar settings don't experience this problem. In the meantime, posting a discussion is the best way to submit your Portal appeal.
