Tapping on keys in key list is OFTEN ignored

The average number of times I have to tap on a key, to get the key to register, is just over 1.8, based on a measurement of 100 keys in my inventory right now, 183 taps on the key pictures to get them all to load once, the worst taking SEVEN taps to be recognised.

I specifically ensure I tap in the same place, in the picture, when it takes more than one tap, so this can rule out insensitive areas.

The phone is a pixel 3. The phone is running nothing else, as it was tested after a phone restart, and only prime was started after the restart. After prime was started, this test was run, no other prime actions were made. As such, I think we can rule out phone performance.

This test was carried out due to my noticing it frequently, and being quite annoyed by it, when trying to recharge keys.

  • As far as I can tell this has to do with the timing between tap and drag. If you tap really fast, it always registers. If you tap slowly, it never registers. I also think that there's no delta checking to see if you're actually moving your finger, or if it is it's far too small of a delta.

They need to increase the point at which tapping becomes a drag, and make sure that it doesn't consider it a drag unless the finger has actually moved.
