[Bug Report] Photo orientation

Not sure if this is a bug coming from the latest update or my recent update to iOS 13 but every single nomination the app is modifying its orientation. A quick fix is taking the picture and using a device picture, but is kind of slow a phone space consuming.

Thanks! Nominating portals is a tedious process now, at least if you try to take the picture with the camera in-app.

All pictures, even the environment one get rotated without any possibility of changing it in the app. The workaround is to take pictures beforehand and then using the "existing photo" button.

I noticed that when I switch to the camera of iOS and then switching back, 7/10 times the scanner doesn't resume from background though.

Running iOS 13.1 on iPhone 11.

  • Apparently this same bug is also happening in countries with Pokestop submissions on the pokemon app so they had to pull the plug on Pokemon Go submissions till the bug is fixed. Lately I've been seeing a few submissions where either the portal photo, the supporting photo, or both have been rotated 90 degrees to the left in my review area which is mainly the southeast U.S. , which does not have pogo submissions yet. While it's an easy reject agreement for photo orientation, it's a shame how submissions that would otherwise get 4 or 5 stars from me would have to be thrown out cause of this bug. Hopefully a fix comes soon.
