If you tweak any of your votes than your cheating the system to prevent a cooldown. You are cheating the system of OPR. And Niantic should change the design of it. Having a set amount of reviews each day for everyone, is more logical then a bunch cheating and misleading the system. Especially if they are adding extra criteria to the system for votes.
More incentives and help sure but not open OPR to thousands+ of random trainers.
With the court case ruling in the USA recently I very much doubt Niantic will want to opening it up. After all i wonder how long some of ghose portals where active before all this.
You keep accusing and claiming people cheat the system but near as I can see you are very new yourself with only limited OPR experience. Seems a little questionable to judge others.
Ingress players are only special because they took a test.
Pokemon players and wizard players can take a test easily.
Question. If I tweaked the answers to the SAT, would I be considered a cheater?
Question If I bent the rules, would I be considered a cheater?
Question Once a cheater always a cheater. (Ingress was cheaters well before pokemon go. Yet they are okay to handle OPR and pokemon players are not. Most of the spoofed locations pokemon go players go too, they were created by ingress players.)
Irony, is all of everyone's arguments as to why Pokemon Go and Wizards shouldn't be eligible for OPR, is why Ingress players shouldn't. Me, I'd actually prefer Niantic to take if over, less stress on me. More time to play the games. But submissions, they designed the system to rely on us. So here we are. I'd rather see niantic issue a limit on reviews for OPR and open it up to everyone who is playing one of the games. Because ingress players views are more based on ingress more than the other games. You guys think your above the rest, and you breaking or bending or tweaking the rules, is not thinking you are cheating at all.. Hmm. Irony, Those portals that pokemon players were using on PRP, I wonder who approved and submitted those portals? Oh that is right, Ingress players.
That's up to Niantic. But it's easy if your already planning to do one to do both. Because it's people in the world who can complete areas that are lacking portals.
First off you are making up your own rules. No where does it say how culture/visual should be rated. Second, not every thing that is reviewed by players even has a suggestion number of starts.
Third while you review 10-20 things before being locked out daily, I review 250-350 every single day. I have reviewed over 29,000 total portals, I have helped create over 16,000 portals, and help reject 2,600 portals. SO Please tell me I am HURTING OPR one more time? I have done more to help OPR this month then you ever will.
Your "tweaking" your votes. You sir admitted you are cheating. I even said thank you for it. 29k reviews, how many did you cause to be delayed as a result of cheating the system? Hmmm technically all of them depending on your voting patterns. You are just one of the many, which is why a limit needs to happen and a equalness across the board should be done.
100 to 200 reviews across the board for everyone before cooldowns is reasonable per day. That's a far amount. Nothing crazy. Every player having that everyday, opens up the que even with new submissions from other games.
Tell your local ingress community that you spoof and see what reaction you get, You will be an instant paria. When it come to rules and cheating Agents are far harsher than Niantic let alone trainers.
Im sorry TimerClock that you have got this idea lodged in your mind about secret vendettas. If your votes are coming up the same to often it's likely that you need to look closer or at the surrounding portals as that often affects the Unique ranking.
Would you rank a playground a 5☆ under unique and/or cultural? Would it change if there was another one a street over on nearby portals?
Is it a good nomination, location and safe to access are you big important 3. If a portal is ranked high and consistent in those 3 categories it will come through quicker
I've literally never altered my votes to avoid a cooldown or based on recent reviews. The cooldown is almost certainly triggered from too many divergences from consensus in a short period, same with the captcha.
You are really confused on how OPR works. So by reviewing more I am causing delays in portals getting approved.
Second, If I was voting wrong I wouldnt have a staggering 18,719 agreements. I do adjust my Visual/Cultural as needed because there is NO recommendation for those in the system. Why wouldnt you, would you not agree a church in a s t r i p mall is less visually appealing than a church with brilliant and beautiful stained glass?
Another great example a sports field I generally rate 5* overall, 5* title, 4* star culture, 3 star visual 5* location, and 5* accessible. However, a brown field with a broken net? Should I rate that a 3* for visual or a 2 maybe? Again show me where that isnt the users digression?
Want to talk about numbers some more?
How many portal approvals do you have compared to rejections? Here are my stats. I have 33 rejections total, of those 11 were approved later, 16 were denied and have either not been resubmitted or are pending approval, 5 were denied due to distance, and 1 was denied as a duplicate(not a duplicate). I can even list out the 16 denied if you would like and show you. I know what I am talking about, I know the OPR process, I know how submissions work. Here you are telling me I am cheating? Yet you are trying to pass an electrical tower? Saying its in the rules.... Come on... I can throw facts all day long.
Edit: Can I just say the censors on this forum are awful, can't say s t r i p mall without a censor despite that being its name. I bet saying chicken s t r i p would fail too.
Days, all numbers are in days. My area lacks reviewers so all but several of my approvals are from upgrades. Thats why I have a separate timing to see how fast approval occurs after upgrade.
If I was purposely judging based on who the submitter was or where the submission came from that would be bias. Me saying a playground is rusty deserves a lower visual score than a perfectly clean well maintained playground isnt bias, its visual confirmation.
Actually 19400 agreements would be 194 upgrades, now that being said there is a glitch that occasionally occurs causing 2 upgrades to happen at once. It doesnt go into your upgrade count but both portals show under upgrades. I have had 8 of those I actually have 186 "listed" upgrades. I track the doubles off to the right of my metrics screen.
Heres what the entire set up looks like, I do data analytics for a living so tracking my stuff meticulously is very enjoyable for me. Honestly, if I had a way to export my reviews I would track how many churches I reviewed etc..
Edit: Actually edits are impossible in my area to get approved generally, I don't actually have many edit agreements based on what I can tell. I do luckily have 3 great review locations so i can hammer out alot of reviews everyday.
If you tweak the system to prevent a cooldown, you are not letting the proper reviews to happen, because your stepping in someone else's spot. If you tweak the system to increase your upgrades, you are causing the system to restrict others on theirs. Those tweaks can delay other submissions because you are change the consensus on the review. Wait isn't this exactly what your worried about with pokemon players? No way ingress players couldn't of already did what they fear from pokemon players.
A good portion of my agreements came from the time period when I was off from work recovering from surgery. I was able to review each submission carefully. I don't need or want to use upgrades. Local reviewers would get to it usually in about 6 weeks. I don't need to rely on upgrades. I haven't gotten a cooldown.
There appears to be a disturbing trend of your discussions being closed out by Niantic.
Most ingress players are worried about pokemon players having access to opr because they think they will vote differently. Yet you admit you alter the system to keep getting reviews and upgrades going to prevent a cooldown.
When you cheat the system, you are also changing the voting patterns on the reviews, which alters the review for others. That can change the timing and the approval of the review because different people review differently. Your tweaking has an bigger impact than you think. (Basically in easy terms, it's like with time travel in movies they don't want people changing the past, because it can domino and cause other issues.)
Your rating might be misrepresented because yes your reviewing more, but at the same time you are altering and effecting more, which could be delaying more reviews because of your changes.
No one is altering their votes to reject valid candidates to avoid cool down. They aren't altering their votes to approve invalid candidates to avoid cool down. That is what agents are concerned PoGo players would do. You are a shining example of everyone's concerns.

If opr was to change tomorrow. Tomorrow you would bring this up saying pokemon players are doing.

Let's at least give WU a year before we start worrying if it's going to have much of long term player base.
That's up to Niantic. But it's easy if your already planning to do one to do both. Because it's people in the world who can complete areas that are lacking portals.
"That's up to Niantic" /end thread. There really is no other answer here.

You sure know how to get people on your side. How many subs did you slow down with your poor rating status?

Units! Without them I can only assume the units of time is minutes, which is amazingly fast.
Also, 194 upgrades earned? That's 194,000 agreements. Do you just have a lot of edit reviews or something?
Edit: 194*100 = 19,400. Math is hard oops.
Great job on the data collection though, I love that stuff.
System is design to prevent bias. If your tweaking your votes to prevent cooldowns you are creating bias.
Days, all numbers are in days. My area lacks reviewers so all but several of my approvals are from upgrades. Thats why I have a separate timing to see how fast approval occurs after upgrade.
@TimerCIock consider this: It's cheating to make two posts in a thread in a row. Therefor, you are a cheater

I'm not even going to lie, I am really confused by what you just wrote.
Let me get this straight, you are an expert on the inner workings on OPR and you are saying the following.
More than you know, he had like 30 discussions, all but like 2 have been locked or flat out deleted.
Your rating might be misrepresented because yes your reviewing more, but at the same time you are altering and effecting more, which could be delaying more reviews because of your changes.
I am glad I have met an OPR expert like you to help me. I will stop doing OPR as suggested because that apparently will speed OPR up. Thank you sir.
No one is altering their votes to reject valid candidates to avoid cool down. They aren't altering their votes to approve invalid candidates to avoid cool down. That is what agents are concerned PoGo players would do. You are a shining example of everyone's concerns.
If you alter your reviews to get more reviews and upgrades, you are doing exactly what you fear with pokemon players.
