That is what it says and you are going by the same interpretation I had but the new sports field criteria throws a wrench in that. I'd like some clarity because it would really ruin a lot of candidates
Absent further clarification, I'm interpreting it literally to mean that they've applied a special limitation to sports fields, just like they did for some reason to water towers, which (by one reading) couldn't be fenced in (even though other fenced-in portals are fine).
Well think I'm going to bar myself from continuing to comment in the thread.
At no stage has this ever been a discussion or even a heated debate.
I will admit if I lived anywhere in driving distance I would be tempted to take a road trip to get keys to EVER misplaced POI, on school grounds etc just so i could edit them correctly, request removal of invalid one etc. Driving someone to that is all that this thread is likely to accomplish.
I've see newer threads learn and accomplish more in the 1st 2 posts than this has done in 1.7k. TimerClock you clearly don't want the communities input or opinion so this forum becomes a mute point.
Yeap. That is a perfect example of a nomination that would get 4-5 stars in every category but title/description. There was a pier earlier that had a similar discription that also got rejected.
At this point, I think the best way to stop him is approve his submission, request it for removal, wait for him to appeal the removal, and watch as NianticKN slaps his face.
360 pan views for the supporting photo is allowed. It shows the conditions, as photospheres don't always register in google maps.... Especially if there are other photospheres around. Nothing wrong with how I did the support back up.
Sure, you can do it that way and it might work, but I would recommend you also try to get actual photospheres whenever possible. I agree that it can definitely be a huge issue when there are other nearby photospheres or the POI is next to the street view path, so I am always super careful. In tight cases I typically:
Check to make sure the photosphere did indeed upload and is in the right place.
Make sure the photosphere is closer to the submission pin than other photospheres and street view. On my PC, I drag the the peg man in Google Maps onto the location of the pin and make sure my photosphere pops up.
Just some friendly advice. You don't need to do this, but it can only help. Also, I'd recommend using a regular panoramic image rather than a flattened 360 image for your supporting photo. It is easier to visually interpret.
Everyone. Especially, those getting flagged. Go to settings and put him on ignore. For some unknown reason he is allowed to make unsupported personal attacks without getting banned. If you need to vent do so on another chat site. I don't know why it is this way but it is.
He already accused me of modifying my answer in opr without knowing anything about me.
Here is the topic. Anything not specifically related to this topic is therefore now "off topic"? I'm afraid that Mr Ciock blocked all possibility of that every time he himself attempted to branch outward, and is himself the most egregious offender.
@NianticCasey Will you confirm that Athletic Fields are allowed everywhere per the new Wayfarer guide except for 40m of PRP? I am not sure why it is still a debate, but people are still bringing it up constantly. It would put a lot of their disagreements to bed if you did respond. As a result of the new system, will you reinstate the North Boundary Rd (2 baseball fields) and Logan Park baseball fields (3 Baseball fields) that were removed incorrectly? They were valid approved portals previously and are per the new Wayfarer guide, and should be re-instated. I do not have a removal email for Logan Park 3 baseball fields that were removed today, but they should be allowed as well, as they were over 40m from the PRP. Or can you allow my account to submit portal appeals? Thanks.
I'm afraid this is off-topic. It is not discussing the future on-boarding of Pokemon or Harry Potter players into OPR (now Wayfarer). Nor is it talking about the idea that we should be submitting portals for one game but not others (ie. into Pogo but not Ingress).
This is off topic and in the wrong forum for appeals. If you are unable to make appeals through the appropriate channels it means you were doing something wrong and trying to circumvent your ban doesn't show that you've learned anything at all.

Also, I have no idea how they expect us to measure distances from unknown property lines.
You can rest assured that edit/removal requests have been made by locals with varying degrees of success. :)

I recommend submitting removals through PoGo, not ingress. They take those more seriously in my experience
Oops meant to quote @Ochemist
Flagpoles are allowed with a plaque.... Plaque does not always have to be the POI.... You are wrong sir. Guide clarifies it. It is allowed.
Enjoy the rejections
Then how would someone reviewing know if the Flag Pole is Historically or culturally significant per the help guide?

@NianticCasey Please flag for abuse and being off topic.
@NianticCasey Please Flag for Abuse.
Good point; thanks. I don't know if that's been tried or not.

@NianticCasey Please flag for abuse and off topic.
Please explain how my post is abuse when I'm educating fellow agents on the system?
Im guessing he might have lost access to his ability to flag abuse because of over using it... He was likely doing this behind the scenes already.
I consider these posts of his asking for others to be flagged as harassment and should be dealt with accordingly.
@NianticCasey Please flag for abuse and off topic. Thanks.
Manipulating the Pokemon Go system for removing portals is abuse....
Not sure why he isn't flagging the posts himself, but openly calling for posts to be flagged is itself a form of abuse.
Using a report system as intended is not abuse. You have demonstrated far more abuse of ingress than this. Glass houses my friend

As such, it is now deemed "abuse".

You purposely left out in your request to Casey they are on school grounds. That is the critical piece of information...
@NianticCasey Please flag these for being spam, abuse and off topic. Thanks.

@NianticCasey Again more spam and off topic. I am trying to get people back on track but they are making it worse. Thanks. Please flag these.
