@AgentB0ss He's stopped answering me. He hasn't answered any of my very pointed comments. Part of me is feeling quite relieved. Perhaps it's his cognitive dissonance?
And so far you have failed to show it's publically accessable, given proof that it's not, and whined about it for 50 pages instead of actually doing something about it.
What does purposely confusing criteria mean to you? What does publicly accessible mean to you? As you have all said before, schools are not the POI, it is the Sports fields that are the POI. If the schools have it to where the fields are publicly accessible to be used by the community, what are you arguing? (You are arguing that it is not fair.... Grab some tissues and stop crying...) People say pokemon players whine, look at all of you... What is written is written. 2 restrictions on sports fields. Number 1 publicly accessible. Number 2 - 40m from PRP. NO exclusion on schools or anywhere.... They are allowed where they are publicly accessible and 40m from PRP. End of crying rants from everyone!
Technically a baseball diamond in size is bigger than 40m, I can place accordingly to be far enough away... No restriction on where the portal needs to be placed on the POI. athletic fields allow for plenty of distance away.... And allow plenty of room to be accessed by everyone...
Niantic changed all of the rules yesterday..... When they rolled out the new OPR system. What was supposed to be done, versus what was changed by niantic is totally different things, and confirmed when they allowed swimming pools yesterday as well, and updated trail markers all on the same page. What should be done is you stop crying the blues. Reviewers can move the location and be able to tell where to place with the 20 cell breakdown now in the review process. You are allowed portals closer than you every were before.... I suggest going to your local park and start thinking.... Because small distance at parks means way more portals allowed..... (by the way your welcome.) Picnic areas, fishing spots, and other fixed things at parks are allowed including signs.... So you have a couple ideas allowed. Crazy, the last 2 months I have been called this name and that name.... Yet I was more right than any of you.... Even the timing, I said 10/7, and it was within 3 days....... I think I know niantic way better than most since I do play everything niantic has.... Unlike most others.
After all of this, I still don't understand why you refuse to not place the Position on the POI? What is your reasoning for moving it any distance away from the center of the POI ?
Didnt say I wouldnt place on the poi. But a baseball field is a lot larger and can be used to locate properly to avoid 40m of distance. Nothing says it has to be placed on the center of the poi. Baseball field location for portal can be anywhere on the field.
You failed to answer my question . Why do you want to move it to anywhere on the field? In my area, we place the POI as being behind the Home Plate fence. It seems logical to us.
But why do you want to move any other POI to the sidewalk, instead of keeping it at it's actual place ?
Because POI and the location matter for between games. If you move to the back stop instead of where it makes it an eligible portal you are hurting the portal more than helping. Players should be able to place the poi anywhere they want and base the photo on where they want. because that is what you are doing. Due to the spacing. you can place at a 18 cell instead of 20 cell and get wizards and ingress portals. due to the spacing being too close, it might not help pokemon. So trying to help all 3 is key, but depends on the plans from the agent for the area.... Make sense?
What makes sense is you're placing Waypoints in inaccurate and awkward locations just to get more stuff in other games at the expense of the quality of the Waypoint database.
Still don't understand why you're trying to talk about other games that don't pertain in Ingress on the ingress forum.
So you are saying you move it because it affects a specific game. And that's the only reason. To create Stops and Gyms . To your advantage.
You'll move a location that is at a true place, to a false location. You believe that anyone can place a POI anywhere they want . You are ignoring reality to manipulate a location to false placement. You are making up your reasons of how to twist the whole idea, for your own personal gain.
Does it make sense of why some of us have a problem with this?
It doesn't say that they are to be rated as a 1 star. It says they may not be approved unless something significant is used. Well Picnic areas and fishing spots, and community outdoor seating areas, are significant use. They create a site to be used by players.... They are allowed.
So, I've been watching this thread and am banging my head on the table. While I think there definitely is an element of trolling going on I think I have seen a few of his submissions in OPR so maybe he isn't trolling and really thinks he can manipulate the system and the rules to his ends.
In the video released yesterday starting at 0:42 it states "this means no wayspots that are on private property, dangerous to get to, or are on the grounds of primary or secondary schools"
I take these rules as the 3 absolute non negotiable rules on rejecting. Even the picture in the video is of a playground that normally would be good but because it's on school grounds it needs to be rejected.
I understand that in small towns sometimes the city and the school have shared space, but there really needs to be a clear dividing line between the school and the athletic field or Park area. All the high schools in my area have a track that can be used by the public but because they are on the high school property they are not eligible. I would possibly suggest that if the school has priority over said equipment or property then it needs to be rejected. This means if a class comes out of school and if somebody is playing on the tennis courts in the school says this is our time and the people have to leave which I believe would happen in your examples then you should reject those submissions.
I don't think my post is going to change your mind because obviously you are stuck in your ways but I have said my peace and now I can go on with my day and submit real candidates and not waste my time trying to get stuff approved that isn't going to happen.
That is your opinion. My opinion is I know my community and the members that use the stops. I know the locations I would place and things would be fine.

Prove that the sports fields are 40m away from a Private Residence. I think I see some houses too close to it to qualify.

Unfortunatly, you were supposed to place the Pokestop on the sidewalk. That's the most publically accessible place.
Unfortunatly, the sidewalk next to the field is withim 40m of a private residence, so we have to reject it by law

If you know Niantic better than most, then how did you miss the Krug AMA when is was going on while you were on the forum?
What does that matter? I didn't have too. Most of my things were already in it....
None of your things were in it. And that's a tallahassee fact.
Wait... Did @XQlusioN quit last night? That was what he was going to do.....

And "Because I can" won't work.

I still haven't seen any thing that proves you right and all of us wrong, so no, I didn't quit
Did you even read the AMA questions?
No wonder you don't know anything, you haven't read a single thing. Not on here, not in the guidelines, nuthin'.
Ya got to stop assuming you know every based on just thinking other people are gonna do everything for you.

Yes, there is a category for them in the review process, it's the "do not meet criteria" category.
"I disagree with everyone's opinion..."
Thank you for finally admitting that it is you, a single entity, against everyone.
It doesn't say that they are to be rated as a 1 star. It says they may not be approved unless something significant is used. Well Picnic areas and fishing spots, and community outdoor seating areas, are significant use. They create a site to be used by players.... They are allowed.

Should have asked that to Krug instead of ignoring the AMA. That could have helped clear this up real quick.
And yet, for some reason, you don't want any official clarification about any of this, hmmm
"Picnic areas and fishing spots, and community outdoor seating areas," are not "Significant". They are Generic.
At least your are admitting your real reasons. Thank you for being honest.
No they have a review section now.... they are in the what is this section of the review along with thousands of other ideas.
That is your opinion. My opinion is I know my community and the members that use the stops. I know the locations I would place and things would be fine.
No, you're wrong, and I'm 100% right because reality is whatever I want it to be.
