Just because a picnic table is right beside the water doesn't mean "They are well known fisherman hidden gems in community". You would need something on the level of stamps from local fisherman community which signs that those are indeed designated fisherman fishing spot in the park.
"Baltimore County offers even more waterfront parks with fishing and crabbing piers. These include:
Chesterwood Park, Merritt Point Park and Stansbury Park in Dundalk-Eastfield
Cox's Point Park in Essex
Edgemere Park and Fort Howard Park in Edgemere-Sparrows Point
..."
It's Merritt Point Park in general, not the specific ramps or picnic tables. Talk to your fisherman community go give an official mark that those are indeed "well known fisherman hidden gems in community". This could be done by putting a sign beside those specific ramps/picnic tables, permanent stamps on the specific ramps/picnic tables, or things like that.
@NianticCasey Can you confirm that natural features do not need signage if manmade objects are used in the photos similar to the fishing spot? I have enough criteria met and a valid picture for an adventurous activity at a park. Reviewers seem to want to add a bunch of extra criteria and it doesn't make sense. The point of being an agent is to help the community learn the community. Fishing spots are hidden gems in the community. Having a picnic table at them makes them a community gathering spot. It would help resolve this issue.....
Starts on page 38 to 41 in this thread. Thank you.
@NianticCasey While you are at it, can you clear up the validity of a Sign in a park that explains the rules for dogs, and supplies "poop bags" ? Asking for a friend.
If you need references to the discussion ... well, you know where they are.
It's clear that even when irrefutable proof is provided he just ignores it and changes to one of his other trains of crazy.
Accurate location - Proven that accurate mean on the POI not deliberately many feet away sidewalk or no sidewalk.
Multi use school - Proven it's still on school grounds and unless an AMA answer update comes back stating otherwise the answer is NO.
OPR for Pogo - Clear few want to open the floodgates, but same would vote yes if conditions where added to weed out the extra bad trainers.
Every piece of common trash in a park - Proven that yes you can end up getting trash approved but most people that take the time to be on the forums say No, and the rules say no (but you don't care if rules are broken so long as it suits yourself). So again unless you get a answer form ans AMA in your favour if reviewrs are reviewing properly grills, tables, poop stations etc will all be knocked back.
Once again...you were online and posting and made aware of when the AMA would be so this is not an excuse and if you can't be bothered to make an effort than you deserve your next month or so of submissions wasted. You didn't even try to get clarity on the issues you care about, that's nobodies fault but yours and Niantic should not cater to you because you feel like you're above the rules.
Actually, he seems to be giving up the idea of pedestrian access = sidewalk, he didn't argue on the accurate = exact, he admitted that reviewer guide is for reviewers. Of course, he still failed to see that just because a portal is only accessible via boat doesn't mean it has to be removed, but he seems to give up on arguing for them to be removed right now instead of later when the island has vanished.
I'd say he's finally learning something after 35+ pages of disagreement, or maybe I'm just being hopeful.
He never said they're used for fishing, he said they're used for fisherman to put things on and for their families to eat lunch so they are completely unrelated to fishing except by proximity!
This and a shelter are the only ways I know of that will make a regular picnic area go through
Actually if that island is limited to only access is via boat or canoe. (No access during the winter. when the water is frozen.) Then it is a seasonal used portal. Which is not valid.
Yes I can show the designated via the picture later today.
A fisherman laying out fishing gear on a picnic table at a fishing spot that people can filet and cook the fish they catch for a picnic, you are saying is not using for fishing?
Yes I'm saying it's not for fishing. The way a basketball hoop is required for a basketball court there is nothing but a fishing pole required for fishing so that table is not explicitly made for fishing even if fisherman may use it.
Also you're misunderstanding the seasonal requirement now. A theme park that is closed for the winter is still there and is still valid even if it's inaccessible for a period of time.
A fishing pole, in the picture would create a better visual vote. But it is not required. The atmosphere of the shoreline is valid to for a fishing spot.... because it is where people fish at. That would be like requiring a basketball on the court to allow a basketball court.... It's not required. Or people walking on a trail to show a trail marker is used.
Guys just ignore TimerClock, he wont never agree with current guidelines, he BOUGHT his L12 accout so he did not went to all the processs of playing ingress, then trying to submit portals, get denied stuff and learned from it, and finally get to L12 and be able to do OPR.
Its easy for him to disagree with current guideliness because it was easy to him just pay 150-200 usd to get his booted accout.
A basketball or people are not permanently fixed objects like the hoop or trail marker. Without a basketball or a person on a trail you are still able to tell what those areas are for. Without a fishing pole (which is invalid as it is not permanent) what is that area? The lake/ shoreline is a natural feature so it's invalid. The picnic table is a common fixture of a park without any significance to elevate it and is invalid.
A shoreline, when people look at it say oh we can fish, you can tell by being at the physical location that it's a fishing spot. Fishing pole is not required, but would increase the visual vote.
Fishing spot is significant to elevate a picnic table. The submission is a fishing spot, the picnic table is a piece of the display that is used by the families.
A fishing pole is exactly the same as a basketball for a basketball court or a person for a trail marker... in your argument. They are not required. They are temporary things in a atmosphere for fishing. Picnic table is more permanent as it would be located and remain in the area. (Has remained in the area for years so far.) And as a designation that is a fishing spot picnic table.
Because you guys are proving how bad opr review process is.... How crazy the added criteria that is not required by niantic that reviewers have added to the review process on submissions. (Proving bias amongst reviewer's. Difference of opinions on things that do meet criteria as written by Niantic. And still disagree with what's written.) Your also proving how bad ingress players are towards other players and how much hatred you guys have towards others.
A fishing spot is a hidden gem and it is common knowledge by everyone in the world.
Answers
Proving they are individually stenciled is easy with the support photo.
So instead of all the C's, your actual answer is A.
Because according to you, these man-made things (gazebo, fountain,...) are valid because they are located in/on/near a natural feature (the park)
Just because a picnic table is right beside the water doesn't mean "They are well known fisherman hidden gems in community". You would need something on the level of stamps from local fisherman community which signs that those are indeed designated fisherman fishing spot in the park.
Didn't realise you were bilingual TC
USA today news source good enough news source for the fishing spots, piers and Boat ramps?
Not good enough. Those says

Picnic tables have a designation on them. A sign is not required.

What do you mean by designation on them? Do you have an example?

But I repeat myself. I knew I shouldn't have had those chilies.
But I repeat myself again. Too bad mine wasn't the last existing comment, because that means I might not have won the argument.
But I repeat myself again.
Said I would post later today. (It would be easier if Prime saved the photos like redacted did.)
God I can't believe this thread still going

Should have asked these in the AMA
AMA should of been on the 7th like it was originally announced.

Can you show that they're the officially designated fishing spot?
