The clarifications about easements/public sidewalks being ineligible is new. Also just want to correct something I saw in one of these threads that the guide says to reject within 40 ft of PRP. It does not say that it just says to pay close attention an reject candidates on or in front of a single family home
I'm aware. I shared it well before you all noticed it.... it was in my initial argument that parks should have more portals.... because they say to pay close attention to parks but didn't mention why..... well if prp is not eligible than parks should be. Because event niantic promotes parks for events....
And ever since Ingress got submissions back, PoGo players have been leveling up Ingress accounts in order to make those edits to pump their Gyms. I know because we've recruited a couple to stay on Ingress.
No ingress player cares about anything except the MU Field and the occasional opr review. Yet if they don't play the other games they don't know where portals need to be to help the communities. Yet agents are supposed to help the community learn the community? How can you if you don't care...
Because Ingress players want POIs at their locations instead of jamming them into S2 grids for Gyms or Greenhouses. We don't need to care what happens in other games, because we have the portals where they're supposed to be.
You don't.... you have what you feel is enough and done. Again why opr should be allowed to be opened because your biasing the process because you dont want anymore. Or purposely rejecting things because you feel it's too many....
No, I keep submitting more portals whenever I see one and I can. There is never enough portals. But I'm not submitting fake portals or submitting portals in invalid locations, because I'm not abusing the system.
Don't presume to know what Ingress players want, since it's clear you are a PoGo player with far less attachment to the real game.
The "why" is that they want OPR to make extra certain people aren't submitting things on private property and claiming they're actually in public space. Reviewers are supposed to be critical but not outright reject candidates within 40m of prp
Well, then maybe you shouldn't make assumptions about whether people do or don't constantly submit portals.
So we're agreed? Editing portals to move them away from their real location is abuse; portals should be submitted as accurately as possible, and moving the location to the roadside instead of the actual portal is abuse; and Ingress players don't care about shoveling portals into one location, because we want the portals at their actual location.
You dont play wizards either I am assuming? So you probably dont care to know that wizards has 8 different building types, 1 of which is the fortress. Ever thought about how hard the combination is with 8 buildings and parks not even having a gym in wizards. Pogo you guys at least allow 1 to 2 gyms per park without questions right..... yet wizards you careless and dont want to play. Yet instead of helping niantic your too stubborn and say nope the world is done, eventhough the world wasn't... yet you have enough portals because you only need 1 at a park to be happy. Well news is, all games by niantic need more portals.... and you don't have enough.
Nope. It's part of taking a photo of a portal. You have to get the right view, but that view also helps tell you where your standing at.... especially view. Think of it this way. Baseball field, most of the time people put on the diamond... well if I wanted 2nd base, I would take a picture from 2nd baseball. If I wanted 1st base, I would take it there. If I wanted 3rd base I would take it there. If I wanted the pitcher mound, then I would there. Its all in the photos we take... good photos tell where your locating the portal too, because they should see it from the same view.
Because I wanted the playground submitted and it to be located within a few feet away like it says it is allowed as long as you can visually see the poi from the portal location. As an opr, I am aware of what's written. And I'm aware of the historical dual use agreement pioneered in baltimore county established 60+ years ago. That my friend is park and rec grounds... school is the school grounds. School system maintains the school. Parks and recs maintains the grounds at schools.
Again. It doesn't matter if padding a region will be beneficial to building types if you're abusing the system. If there aren't enough real points of interest in an area in their real locations, they should not have the additional buildings. That's how it works. The more areas with relevant points of interest the more you want people going there.
If there were half a dozen buildings in a blank open field, there is no point of interest there so there should not be portals, Inns, Greenhouses, Fortresses, Gyms or Pokestops.
No, you wanted it 20+ feet away where the POI could easily have been actually accurate. That's choosing to misplace the POI, because you want to use a POI from a K12 school.
Points of Interest on school property are off limits. The fact that you tried to place the portal off school property is an intentional misplace because you know that placing it accurately would cause it to be denied. As it should be.
This looks more like pogo players that leveled up in Ingress (like APPARENTLY) yourself that have manipulated the system....but who let's let 100,000+ more of them in

No Ingress player cares about creating Gyms.

Lol. You have no idea what I play on a daily. :P

Good? Good.

I will always be the first to admit I am wrong.
My opinion plays zero role when it comes where Niantic wants a portal submitted in comparison to the real world POI.
Its not my opinion it’s fact.
According to opr help, its opinion not fact... fact is they have it expressly written allowing a few feet away....
You admit that edit faq is separate from OPR faq then why is OPR faq not separate from support help?
Opr help/faq/guide is specifically for opr reviewers.... and specifically for reviews....
Good, so you understand this.
OPR GUIDE IS FOR REVIEWER.
SUBMITTER GUIDE IS FOR SUBMITTER.
And submitter guide says to place the pin as accurately as possible.
Accurate but not exact. Only thing that matters it is visually seen from the portal location. Yes.
Making up your own rules. I truely believe you know what’s right but want to make stuff up to suite you...

So why did you submit the picture of a playground when you clearly wanted the pavement on the sidewalk to be a portal?
Because I wanted the playground submitted and it to be located within a few feet away like it says it is allowed as long as you can visually see the poi from the portal location. As an opr, I am aware of what's written. And I'm aware of the historical dual use agreement pioneered in baltimore county established 60+ years ago. Back to the agent helps the community learn the community.
Actually, accurate means exact.
I'm sourcing my definition from Merriam Webster.

Please for the love of Jeebers show me or direct me to where is says you can deliberate misplace the pin for the location of the POI.
