I said multi-accounting, not multi game. I mean there are plenty of examples all around of Pokemon Go Players having 2, 3, 4,5 ,6+ accounts. I am saying what steps could Niantic take to prevent these players from using sometimes 6 accounts to make submissions and review OPR. This would give them a huge advantage and be able to review their own submissions on 5 additional accounts.

Sorry, not to devolve the conversation more, but he has tried posting on Reddit from 2-3 different accounts to the point where the accounts are negative karma and likely can't even most anymore.

  • KliffingtonKliffington ✭✭✭✭✭

He's tried to make the argument that all drinking fountains in the US South should be portals and that they fit historical criteria because of Segregation/Civil Rights and even when Niantic officially told him no, they donot meet criteria at all he would not accept it.

Nothing we say actually matters to him but I guess I still post because I don't think bad faith actors should have an uncontested platform to spew nonsense.

"Confusion" isn't the same as "bad faith"; nor is "ignorance", willful or not.

It's his repeated (his words) bullying, and inability to accede to others' logic, especially those supported by evidence, AMAs, etc.

This thread should be closed, and at worst started afresh.

Oh man, I just found evidence that his own town finds him a nuisance and calls him out on his BS lies.... very interesting read. I would post it here but it could be considered harassment.

However if you search his name and state you can find something interesting about a case LOL

  • @TimerCIock I un-ignored you briefly if only to quote this statement from earlier. This is defamation of character. I don't have to prove I didn't tweak my vote. You have to prove I did. Stop posting this type of stuff.

Or better yet, keep the discussion open, and remove the reason it's gone off the rails.

It's not confusion or ignorance. He's not posting to have a discussion or ask people their thoughts. He has throughout a countless amount of threads on here and Reddit all summer proven again and again that he refuses to learn , does not care for any opinions, will twist any situation to fit his viewpoint (the gross use of Civil Rights movement for his park drinking fountain), ignoring forum rules because what he wants is more important, his use of his disability, service (rejecting portals is bad since veterans have a high sucide rate), color blindness etc to garner sympathy and so much more. He is 100% acting in bad faith. We've genuinely tried to engage but he isn't capable of seeing pass his own nose.

Geez this thread just keep going and going and going

Just on the record I'm on and off again At OPR halfway through Platinum and I check my agreements are 2/3 approved, with about 70% agreement rate. I will not vote yes on terrible submissions if I don't believe its a POI and clearly the consensus shows.

This is an Ingress Community forum, bashing Agents competence and ignoring the thousands of agreements reached each day in OPR was never going to be recieved well.

Portals are the sole aim and gaol of Agents but in the other 2 games they are just one part. They are only a means to gather resources while you catch mons, or return cofoundables. This is one reason why agents are the preferred choice for OPR, they don't want a portal for the sake of a portal.

What hurts parks is the s17 pokestop rule which was Niantics decisions. If they wanted what you claim they would remove that restriction at parks .

It's been 12mth since some countries got pogo submissions and the rollout has been slow so while it may or may not be inevitable it will be a loooongway off before they get access it OPR.

  • They are already working on fixing the photo orientation. Wouldnt be hard to do a full roll out.

  • AgentB0ssAgentB0ss ✭✭✭✭✭

Photo Orientation is a small bug how does that have to do with full roll out? Or are you confused what Photo Orientation means?

  • Its already setup to have the world done anywhere. Its just turning it on.

  • Seriously though. How busy you think pokemon go would have people playing.... big boost before halloween. With redacted passing of the torch here in a couple days it makes sense.

  • AgentB0ssAgentB0ss ✭✭✭✭✭

You are here confusing a simple photo orientation fix with some massive and you expect people to believe anything you say?

  • harkonnnenharkonnnen ✭✭✭✭

Curious if you where around during Redacted days?

Also what's your point? Yes some Agents will retire while most have already switched to Prime and the others will

  • A limit of 100 to 200 should be set. It reduces the panic of upgrades going through the roof.

I'd recommend having an account login to gain a boost in opr reviews for all 3 games. But limit to just 1 of each.

All 3 games can technically earn to be able to submit in 90 days pretty easily. Lvl 12 in ingress, or lvl 40 in pokemon go, or lvl 35 In wizards. Harry stuff for halloween would fly off the shelves... ingress is starting to get a following with the show as well.

Parks would be fun for October if they were allowed more common things. It would also give the new people things to work on after they pass the test. And we could show them the quality they should be following for each. Park rules would be wise though and other fixed manmade objects. So players are aware.

    I'd do the osm update.

    The game map sync.

    I'd open submissions.

    Issue a new guide.

    And open opr.

Fix the orientation while doing it all as it's basically all setup already. All three games need something for people to enjoy with the camera feature besides the a couple pokemon.

That gives niantic a way to figure out how to convert the street views to a 3d map for all of us, while everyone is submitting google photo spheres for submissions in a way should be helping. Then 3d game maps would be really fun. It would take the 5g maybe the next gen after it before it would happen due to total data needed. But having submissions out to all games would help speed up everything. With technology anymore that's the way of the future is anyways....

  • AgentB0ssAgentB0ss ✭✭✭✭✭

What do you think the orientation issue is? Please explain it..

  • @TimerCIock , I had already pointed out why ingress players are the best reviewers out of the three Niantic games. You had not provided any argument to refute my statements.

Additionally, you never provided an argument on why Pokemon go players deserve to review. Your posts are mainly about "it's just a matter of time", which are pure speculation on your part.

Now I ask you: why does Pokemon go players deserve the privilege to review?

Also, it is becoming clearer to me, that while OPR has it's own share of problems, issues of spawns in Pokemon go and HPWU are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS with points of interest. Your arguments are mostly about spawns of imaginary objects (ie. Pokemons), which while in some cases related to POI database, most of the time is not. This is proven by interactions of nests and OSM with spawns.

If you want to create a discussion about spawns, you are free to do so, but I don't think OPR forum, or ingress forum is the correct place to do that. Spawns and nests is not related at all with OPR and ingress. Indeed OSM is related with Ingress, but this thread is not about OSM updates for ingress.

  • harkonnnenharkonnnen ✭✭✭✭

To respond to you blanket statement in this discussion

Limiting reviews by a generic number would be so detriment to OPR than any idea I have ever heard. 1 upgrade per 100 agreements is a bare minimum recognition. To get an Onix badge is no easy feat and those 10,000 agreements (submissions that you have help to get approved or rejected) equals a whole 100 upgrades.

  • harkonnnenharkonnnen ✭✭✭✭

You keep making claims that playing all 3 games some how makes you more suitable for OPR and you should be rewarded for that. Personally I don't play WU not because it mightnt be a good game but because the idea of juggling a 3rd game would make it all seem far more like work than fun.

Yes someone playing another game might bring a new view for a possible POI candidate which is why pogo is getting submissions. That doesn't translate into being able to better identify POI.

Yes, this is about spawns. Spawns are not related to OPR.

You are still not answering my question.

  • AgentB0ssAgentB0ss ✭✭✭✭✭

He also believes someone who plays all 3 games should have their single vote count for more in OPR.

  • AgentB0ssAgentB0ss ✭✭✭✭✭

You do realize that’s their nice way of saying the messed up with their recent update right?

Also, unrelated to the OPR topic... why did you even post that.
