You know, it's an odd experience to deal with an attempt at shaming. My first reaction was laughter. Then embarassment. Then anger. Then peace. You think to yourself if you bring attention to it it's going to feel worse. And then you realize if you don't then other people won't know the trash they're inadvertently associated with. It dawned on me that this says much more about you than it does me.
For anyone that's been shamed by their own teammates, or my teammates, my apologies. And also, don't let them get away with it.

**** shaming is the lowest form of insult, and is usually used without any basis. It's most often issued by men who think that women would be hurt the most to find themselves unattractive to men.... in other words, men who don't actually have any real involvement with women and don't have the brain power to figure out just how wrong they are.

I really wouldn't want the life of whoever felt compelled to excrete that post.
That is the lowest form of low. When they can't come at you for your mind or your morals, they tell women their bodies aren't acceptable.
Come on ENL, we're better than this. I love a good troll but this is not a good troll. We have teammates of all shapes, sizes, colors, and pizza preferences. We are a community that wins by working hard and playing harder. Let's focus less on complaining about gelatin based recreation and more on winning an anomaly. We're better than this.
Apparently by calling it out I'm playing the victim. It's all good. I'm not going to stand by idly and let jerks say whatever that want. Someone knows who you are. And you're gross. I don't have to stay silent. You're a coward.
Anyone who shames anyone else on their physical apperance can have free facial reconstruction done by me to get a start at a new life after being outcasted by their own for being a terrible person. It is free of charge because the only tool I need is my fist.

I have no words. Head up girl. Karma is a - you know what. I have no doubt whoever this is is a miserable person and deep down they know that. They have no way of dealing with their own self-loathing so they feel like their only recourse is to try to bring people down to their level. Don’t give them the satisfaction. I am so sorry you felt the need to apologize. Seems cruel for someone who knowingly supported the harassment and stalking of a female res agent to a (then) res agent. Guess that whole Karma thing is hard to deal, eh?

Easier said than done. I don't presume to know how I'd react if I went through the same type of harassment.

As a member of NYC ENL I want to first and foremost say that we do not stand by this and we do not tolerate this type of behavior by anyone in our community. There are assumptions made in this post that I feel the need to address because it's painting a picture that NYC ENL, as a community, is behind this and that is an unfair assumption. Assuming who is responsible is not the way to go. We need to keep Ingress fun and friendly. Being as this is the Official Community Forum, we need to keep this fun and friendly as well. I encourage everyone to report the Instagram post so it is removed and report the Instagram account in hopes to get that removed as well. We can take action without assuming or painting a picture on an entire faction. On behalf of myself and NYC ENL, let's keep it classy.
Blaming an entire faction for the behavior of one person is unfair and toxic. Please refrain from doing so as it only promotes division.

Next time reach out to the POCs to actually get some clarification on what's really go on. Don't buy some sob story of alleged harassment. You're supposed to be better than this.

Blaming an entire faction is, at least, unfair. But you can blame a community for hosting and not working out a way to expel missbehaving agents within them.
Baiting the opposite team into losing their cool is also a thing. You don't even need a working scanner to do it, unfortunately.

i would not know, i dont talk with them or i care about them, i just play and do my stuff, many are crazy people which start harassment because you touched ''his portal/farm'' or because you made a link which ''interfere their property'' so meh
and then when you fight back the harassment, they use the excuse such as "this is just a game, brah. take a chill pill", am i right? xD

I think you might be a bit misinformed about what the Vanguard role entails. Allow me to educate you in turn:
Vanguards are Ingress player advocates. Vanguards collaborate with Niantic, Inc. and the Ingress Global Community Manager to enhance the player experience by providing direct feedback on a variety of initiatives and topics ranging from but not limited to Anomaly rules, NIA OPS policy, game features, beta software, etc. They are a sounding board for new ideas and a way to get the player perspectives on issues.@pinesinger is well within her rights to express her opinion on matters as a fellow player and community member. Being a Vanguard has no bearing on it, one way or another.
