Recursion and IFS Bonus

Couple of months ago, a friend of mine recursed saturday in the morning, the same saturday of IFS. He played IFS as level 1 agent, but he didn't get the bonus that usually comes with the email. I will post a print of the email he received.
Why did that happen,? Is it a known bug? Is there a limit of hours you should recurse before IFS in order to receive the bonus?

It's a known bug. The advice has been to recurse 24 hours before IFS and start with 10 AP rather than 0 AP.

Plus, after IFS, it is suggested not to recurse until you got the email and IFS medal
It's possible that this bug has finally been fixed: I know of someone who recursed seconds before the September First Saturday who did get the bonus AP.
However, they may have been lucky, so if you care about the extra AP you may want to recurse 24 hours before a First Saturday
