Part IV: Darsana Prime

The era of Investigation known as Darsana Prime surround two key events:

  • First, the journey conducted by Hank Johnson shortly after his new Recursion that would lead him to discover the existence of a second Exogenous Intelligence named the N’zeer.
  • Second, the conflict surrounding control of the “Darsana Point”: a moment in human history in which technological advancement would evolve to the point where humanity would gain the ability to deconstruct the nature of the entire universe.

So, let's break those two things down. This'll take a while.

First: Hank's back! Kind of...he's still a Simulacrum. But he's Resistance now so that's cool, right? (Guess that depends on your own alignment...) After leaving the 13MAGNUS Nest where he was reborn, Hank chronicles his journey as he finds himself being chased by another private Corporation researching XM: Hulong Transglobal. Here's Hank's reddit profile-the archives of his adventure are there.

Hank ends up evading Hulong but he's pretty banged up. Ends up seeking shelter in India from a woman named Jahan. She's described as a humanitarian worker and a scientist...but as always, there's more to the story. Remember Azmati and 13MAGNUS? Well, that group serves the will of the Enlightened. Jahan on the other hand...she's got a different master she listens to.

Jahan and her clan are members of the Anti-Magnus, the Resistance equivalent of 13MAGNUS. They serve the will of the N'zeer, another Exogenous Entity. Little is known about what their goals are, though hearing it from Jahan and Jarvis you'd get obviously conflicting stories. Jahan believes that the N'zeer will enable humanity to see and understand the universe on a level that can be interpreted as complete mastery of the universe at large. Jarvis sees the N'zeer as the mortal enemy of the Shapers and humanity, their goals a blasphemous act that would render us void of the creativity and uniqueness that makes us human.

Now, the focal point of Darsana Prime was surrounding the control of the Darsana Lenses, capable of granting its Faction the ability to see things that remained hidden to the human eye. As the conflict grew, Jarvis as well as his protege and Acolyte Gabrielle were seemingly obsessed with capturing the lenses to prevent the Resistance’s continued growth after Recursion Prime. Unlike previous Anomalies, both Factions secured a Darsana Lens and the Darsana Prime series ended with a tie.

And finally, Dunraven. Wendy would later come to discover the truth behind herself: her body and mind are being co-occupied by another person...a woman named Klue. VERY LONG STORY SHORT, she came from 1218. Should have died there...but she's still hanging around, thanks to Jarvis of all people. As for why...well, we don't fully know yet. As for Wendy...well, she made the choice to let Klue take over for a bit...
