A single "ready" screen would be more than sufficient.
This slows down a lot farming with glyph in comparision to Redacted.
The Aurora glyph challenge would have been a nightmare with Prime, in particular when you want to glyph a serie of p1 portals while loosing the least of time.
I had no problem with doing the Aurora Glyph challenge using prime.
The countdown was there in Redacted as well (just without showing the actual countdown 3 .. 2 .. 1 but only showing three flashes) and the duration that you had to wait before you could start was the same (Normal glyph hack without simple or complex).
No problems with the using Prime during the Aurora Challenge either. The visual countdown was adventatuous as I could turn all audio off and still know when to enter the glyphs. Whereas in Redacted, you only know when to start from the audio cue, which means you can't turn the audio completely off.
The visual countdown is unnecessary -- the audio is sufficient. The visual is simply distracting to me as my mind is preparing to trace the glyphs. Drop it please!

I think that the glyph countdown should be reduced to a "READY" screen.
Either you're ready or you're not. I don't think 3 seconds is going to be the difference between getting the glyph sequence right or not.
