Prime Intel Scanner Portal Image Disable Option
Hello, fellow agents :)
I've noticed that one of the possible reasons Prime is taking so much data connection (more than Redacted) may be related to the mini-picture of portal that is shown on intel section.
Since I don't think that is very useful, takes extra space in screen, costs extra battery and time and delays a bit intel quick read (nearby activity), I think it would be ok to be able to disable pictures in options menu.
What problems could such thing carry?

Ghosty images in high-density areas can comsume even more battery and traffic,so they should have a trigger to be disabled too imo.And yes, portal photos in comm are just useless traffic waste, too small to be helpful.
Agreed. I live in a rural area with large swaths of poor cell signal. Data consumption is the biggest issue with Prime for us. I realize that 5G service is on the horizon for many large cities in the US, but some rural players are lucky to get 1 bar of 4g sometimes.
I wonder what the impact of Prime's data usage is on playerbase in developing countries?
We need a "SIMPLE MODE" not only for the photos, but for animations, GPS tollerance, and "particle effects" as well. People want simpler app, not more CPU/GPU/net/battery hungry. Scanner is supposed to be a tool, not a toy...
