New inventory calculation
Hello there fellow agents. I'd like to propose my idea about inventory rework.
At lvl 1 you get 500 inventory slots and on each lvl up you get 100 more.
On first recursion you get + 50 (?) per lvl. And on 2nd and beyond you get +20 per lvl.
So total inventory would be 2000 on lvl 16 just as it is now.
Reasons why I think this could be good:
1. Promotes leveling your account
2. Negates the effect of lvl 1 mules ( that noone has without mass bans)
3. Rewards people that do recurse

but for cheaters easier will be to have 4 lvl 1 bag accounts, not 1 with lvl 16.
This would turn so many agents away when anomaly season comes around. You can go through over 75% of your 2000 gear in just a couple of hours. Also between the AP grind of levels 14-16 is harsh, I always needed that 2000 inventory during that point for resos, bursters, and keys. They tried this with "verify" movement and got negative results.
@Engrish but wouldn't that open up a gap between experienced players and lowies in anomalies?
This way a L16 could beat 2 L8 agents in single combat if all players use their inventory correctly. That could be game breaking.
On the other hand, the fact that it strikes backpacks is good, even if cheaters just go with more backpacks, it can be very noisy from a DB point of view multiple accs with similar connection data but only one being above Lx.
I prefer 200 / level up to level 8, then 50 or 100 / level.
This overpowers recursed and high level agents and will destroy gameplay equality with lower level agents. I do think the 2k itemcap is abit low, but I don't agree it should be tied to the agent level as this disbalances everything.
@lupukapa Your heart is in the right place with this idea, but I would have to echo against it for reasons already replied by others in this thread. Other than widening the gap between higher and lower level players, as someone as myself whom likes to travel large distances to play Ingress, I may not always have access to or be able to utilize a farm to restock on bursters and resos for my travel operations. By having access to the full 2,000 inventory as I do now, I can at least know when I travel a few hours away from my local farm that I will have enough gear in reserve to last me a few hours of continuous gameplay before I have to call it quits and head back home. Lowering and level locking the inventory cap would only hamper how long I, and others, can play Ingress for in a given session.
Recursion shouldnt give more inventory.. feels unfair.. then they could force recurse everyone instead then, but i like the idea of more space....
