Feature request: Ingame marking of „spoofed“ items

Hi. I remember you implemented in PoGo the feature which marked the Pokémon with a red line going through the Pokémon indicating this Pokémon being gained in an ToS violating manner. Kindly request you to implement the same in Prime. Because we share a lot and usually don’t know if the items we receive have been obtained in right way. This would also help us to identify the black sheeps in the community.

Thank you in advance!

  • Honestly, if they would do this, why not remove them immediately?

No need to keep them in someone's inventory when they are tainted.

Such items should simply be removed from the inventory.

Indeed that would be the best option to remove such items from the game before they leave spoofer’s inventory and arrive somewhere else. But right now Niantic seem to do some measures against players who has owned bad items. Instead of removing them upon they have been initially obtained. Do anyone know if all items he ever received have been ok? Probably nobody. It is also a common gameplay to steal the capsules from the enemy, especially during the anomaly. But actually Niantic isn’t able to remove such bad items fast enough from the game (I don’t know why). This offers the opportunity to lead the opponent to be banned by dropping the capsules using fake accounts. That’s why I’d like such items to be marked. So if you get a capsule you can directly see if things within are ok.

  • They likely run the code once every while instead of continuously. Hence why the bans are in waves.

It sucks if you get items from other players that are tainted. I've had capsules removed from my account beginning of 2018, and received an e-mail about that. This is a good thing though, it will make farming items through bots less attractive, and encourages people to just farm themselves instead of buying.

Maybe a special medal for banned players 🤗

Pretty sure NIA did a removal of spoofed items a year or too ago. I remember everyone checking their inventories to see if any special gear had disappeared. NIA most likely has a system now that removes those without notifying agents.

  • I‘d appreciate if those items could disappear before they reach me somehow... 😅
