Checkbox to disable the attack notifications on the home screen

These days, when I play Ingress, I want to avoid strife and conflict, and just play my own little happy game. Having the attack notifications on the home screen of my scanner really ruins my calm.

Can we get a checkbox in Settings to not show Attack Notifications on the home screen?

    This is nice idea, in "urban play", does not work no much.

    Actually I'd love a way to dismiss the last notification. My last notification is currently a chat message that was sent 7 hours ago; now I've read it, it doesn't need to be constantly on the screen. Same if the alert were a portal attack message that I either don't care about or have already recharged.

    Would be great to be able to "swipe" away those that are read. In fact, having new notifications scroll/slide onto the screen will help to notice an attack in game easier, instead of checking it for updates (as it is now).
