We knew about Nemesis in 1218

Or at least, Misty did. Look toward the fold of the graphic novel:

Wasn't Nemesis the hacker active during that period? I assumed that was what the comic was referring to. I doubt he/she is in any way related to the Nemesis we're dealing with now, as the hacker was apparently just someone hired by enemies of Verum Inveniri to attack them and destroy their dead drops. At least I think that's how it went. If someone has an archive of VI's Google Plus page that would be where it was mentioned.

Either that, or it's a reference to the N'zeer, who emerged in that timeframe. In that case it's just a way of saying "an opponent" without actually naming the N'zeer.

I'm thinking it has to do with Carrie's **** or lack there of because we prevented prime Carrie's ****.

The Nemesis glyph sequence in Carrie's video says third time's a charm. This suggests that it took 3 times for her to die three way Nemesis feels should have happened.

Once when she became a simulacrum, once during Cassandra (1218 she died; prime she didn't) and finally, with Nemesis' help, this last time.

Maybe 1218 Nemesis only became a hacker because of Carrie's ****.
