Edit abuse

Hi,

I just recieved an OPR edit for one of the anchors on the big ENL field over the North Sea. The edit was nonsense, a metre location shift on a portal with the perfect GPS location (i.e. you can walk right up to the portal). The intention is clear to me: it is another attempt to break links through OPR.

There is no way to flag these kinds of edits in OPR. What I would love to see is an option to flag suspicious edits and have Niantic really go after these people. Disturbing the game board because you think you're losing is such a low, low way to play.

Also, it would be great to force a statement upon Edit-submitters, because an edit merits a good reason to be put onto the OPR network. Should save time reviewing, and perhaps deter people from making nonsense edits.

Anyone know how I could get these ideas to NIA?

PS: the portal in question is "Noordpier - Wijk aan Zee" at FG9V+22 Velsen-Noord

I did that and hour ago, and already I received mail from NIA they've taken action!

The ideas in my first post stand, I hope they get implemented one day, but for now a big thanks to NIA for handling this in such a speedy manner. We work hard and diligently to keep the portal network clean and proper, and it's very good to know abuse is being dealt with.

    Thanks!
