Just came to say thanks to Niantic for this. It looks really polished and the animations are great. The thought behind it of giving extra incentive to play daily but without being too forceful looks well implemented.
I want to echo that “Complete a mission” isn’t probably the best for a bounty, considering how the community took the concept of missions and made a focus on banners.
Some bounties feel on the easier side, I completed my first day’s worth without leaving my flat, so some slightly more challenging bounties could be added for more engagement long term.
Overall, well done Niantic. This is a cool feature and feels like it belongs in Ingress.
Joining others in saying that the Bounties are great! As a really casual player in regards to actually opening the scanner I can already see that it'll kick me in the behind to get out and to complete the 4 dailies. The current set of tasks and it's rewards also feel well balanced and having an explanation for each task is great for new players and the entire Bounties screen feels "high quality", if that makes sense.
Mirroring some sentiments however that there should be some changes and improvements made to the system. I know that "officially", Ingress doesn't know what banners are and is built on single missions, but the fact is that Agents have developed a huge community around banners and the sets of 6. Having a "Complete 1 Mission" task that has to be completed within the day will **** over a lot of people.
Similarly, the "Complete 1 Kinetic Capsule Program" is by no means hard, but if starting from zero, casual players will have trouble getting the 8km within a day in. Especially compared to the other tasks which all can be completed within 5 minutes, walking 8km can take like an hour just... walking.
An improvement I've seen suggested is a "Replace" button which can be used to replace one of the four tasks per day. People that have a problem with the above tasks can replace them while the people that are fine with them can just do them.
I'd also love to see some other, harder types of Bounties such as "Capture X MU" or "Reclaim X Portals from Machina". The current set of tasks is great for the start, but will probably get stale quickly. They could be categorised into "basic" and "advanced" Bounties with one of the dailies always being advanced and having better rewards.
The German translation for Ingress was always... questionable. Since the introduction of Head Tracking, the translation has taken a nose dive, but the translation for the Bounties is atrocious. god please ask some agents to take a look over them, there are a lot of people that would do that for free
Lastly, I'd love to see other types of Bounties as well, such as weekly, monthly or even seasonal tasks you can chip away at over longer time.
But still, overall, I think it is a great feature! Please do keep working on it though.

In some other games I’ve played, the game allows you one free replace and then you have to pay something (premium currency so CMU in this case) to replace it again/another one so I could see that. But as we can’t yet earn CMU for free (in the other games I mention you can earn small amounts of Runes or Coins etc. for free by regular play) it’s a bit trickier to balance that part.
There is the 5000 AP that goes for completing all 4 (originally distributed) bounties. Replacing one would lose the AP, but the research day task could be completed.
Glad it's finally here. Don't care much about the rewards, just having something to do once an again is enough. Won't do the "complete a mission" task though.
Could add a scan task - and only ever assign it to phones that support scanning. If your phone is old, you should never see this task. (I could have written the code to check device type 10 years ago - surely Niantic can now.)
Could add an Overclock task - and only ever assign it to phones that support scanning.
Could also add "Trek 1 kilometer".
Maybe "Earn 1 OPR point" - only for agents L10+, The guidance could say you'll need to review 5 or more, to make sure one comes back in the same day. But this breaks the immersion experience, so maybe not.
And let's acknowledge that every task won't be for everybody on every day - so we should NOT have a badge for days-in-a-row.
Badge for total bounties completed, or total days completed, would be great. People can work on those badges even with physical disabilities, dyslexia, jobs, families, or in an area with no Machina or opposing faction, sparce portals, etc.
And, as often requested, an option to shuffle and re-draw at least one task per day. Some people are physically unable to walk a kilometer, and LOTS of people don't want 1 (or 6) missions to suddenly need in the next few hours.
Niantic should keep totals, and make adjustments. Remove the unpopular tasks, or at least, assign them less frequently.
I too had this issue where the resync button did nothing, however the only workaround I found was to restart Ingress and the research bounties resynced themselves.
Rofl, oooo the IFU has spoken. In 10 years of Ingress the only time I have ever heard of them is on this forum. Completely irrelevant in the game from my experience. Just some players who decided to form a group, give themselves an official sounding name and express personal opinions of the game. Who cares what some made up group thinks?
I on the other hand am the duly elected chairperson for the Ingress Glorification and Support Group. Notice my acronym IGSG is longer than thiers so my group is obviously better. And we wish to formerly endorse the new game addition and to certify our approval of all daily tasks presented to date.

The mission bounty should only be assigned on Second Sundays.
And/or we should be able to rearrange our mission badges.

Will echo sentiments that I'm not a fan of the "1 Mission", maybe a re-roll option would be good (can only do it once a day).
But a "6 mission" bounty for a weekly or monthly research would be a better fit instead.

IFU is completely against any bounty involving scanning until agents are properly compensated for their scanning labor.

Bounties don't need to be easy or convenient. Where's the challenge in that?
Daily Bounties should have a low bar to achieve.
Weekly and Monthly Bounties should scale up with difficulty at a reasonable rate
And eventually, Event Bounties like the Hexathlons
As a member of the year 3 Ingress players union we unanimously support any and all efforts to update the game with said bounties.
The only ones I recall that had them were Legendary Game of Heroes, and Raid. Some of that was awful.
