    Oh, sweet summer child.

Some of us "toxic" old timers actually still care a little bit about the game. We've put a decade of our lives into this thing.

We're genuinely upset and frustrated with niantic for essentially ceasing to care. We know they *can* and *have* done better.

We're also frustrated with newer and/or, shall we say, eternally optimistic players who seem to just accept niantic's lack of communication, worsening event schedule, and backsliding on features and development.

So yes, just like you **** a horse that won't race anymore, we'd rather see ingress get axed instead of continuing like this.

Heeheehee, Joe by your own posting you no longer play much at all, the only reason you are still here is you are so invested in the game ending that you just have to be here on the last day so you can say, see see, I was right.

This 'summer child' has played continuously since 2014 and I have seen periods with lots of events and competition and some with not so much. But I have never had a day where I could not find an enjoyable way to spend my time.

Should the day come where I no longer enjoy the game. I will find some other activity to spend my time on. I certainly won't spend it dumping my negativity over and over again in a chat forum while carrying on about the good old days.

If the game is not working for you anymore. Show a little class, say goodbye and leave the building. We'll be sure to miss you when we are not having fun.

We're used to FAR worse in our corporate lives.

I am proud to say I played Ingress in is heyday. New players just don't see what it was all about. It's not the same game and never will be. No reason to get upset, play for whatever is left and create your own enrichment. Before we never needed events to keep us engaged, we had local players that enjoyed the game. Now that everyone has quit it's a solo game. Just take it for what it is. Set your own goals and play your own way. It's not like there's anyone left to tell you not to.
