Wayfarer Maintenance is over, update on the interface
🆕 Wayfarer Update 🆕
Following the maintenance, Wayfarer has now updated its interface.
Please be aware there has been a change to the questions asked during review, so ensure you take time to review and understand the updated information. It may be best to treat this as a clean slate and forget the way you previously reviewed, whilst remembering to stick to the criteria.
👋 What’s gone 👋
⁃ The rating of 1-5 for Wayspots has been removed
⁃ There is no need to pass a test to use Wayfarer for reviewing and submitting
⁃ Questions around things like historical and cultural significance have been replaced
⁃ “Other Rejection Criteria” has been removed
⁃ There is no longer a single reject option at the start of reviewing.
🆕 What’s new 🆕
⁃ Instead of 1-5 stars, you’ll get a series of questions such as “Is this a good place to socialise?” and “Is the submitted photo, title, location, and description (if exists) accurate and informative?” and will answer these with a 👍, 👎 or “I Don’t Know”
⁃ All of the questions will have an information tooltip which has further information by tapping ℹ️
⁃ Instead of the test, each Wayfarer now goes through the onboarding process
⁃ There is a new optional question about the approximate number of people that could potentially gather at this location
⁃ There is no overall comments box.
The tooltips contain several clarifications, so be sure to read them thoroughly.
Videos
Niantic has also produced a series of videos for their refresh to the system.
As always, ensure you follow the criteria and review in line with this.

Operation Portal Recon was much cleaner and easier to understand
and that hasn't existed for about 4 years
