Why goo' mocking disabled people?
How could cope with goo's mocking disabilities?
Every single time feel like being scorned. That lovely game where you could walk a walk while talk a talk becomes nightmare for people with disabilities like .
Adding this abomination to strategy and planning game looks like straight disrespect for everyone with strategic planning mind.
Sure thing, you bought it you own it, but is this humiliation of players really necessary to make money? (rhetoric question, ofc it is absolute necessity)

Not exactly sure what the issue is here....? Are you referring to glyph hacking in general? If so, you are not forced to glyph.
If you are referring to this glyph sequence specifically.... it has been in the game for years now. It has no relevance to real life or current events. It's best not to try and read any real life/current events meaning or significance into these glyph sequences.
Can you communicate what your exact issue is
First rule about making a complain: Elaborate yourself.
Well, there was no darn glyphs in game for years too. It's kinda hard to no glyph when there's medals and challenges related to glyphs. You are basically saying "just not play at all".
Sure thing, when you spend few years playing and then game is ruined you'll abandon it. Should ?
when you got hand tremors, just don't shake. when you got ptsd, just chill bruh. when you paralysed, just stand up and walk.
thank you jeebus, now elaborate in empathy.
adding time limited and precision parts into calm strategy and planning game is exact issue.
can't remember any of this fancy figures, when there's only one figure it's hard to reproduce it due to time pressure, having some medals and challenges related to glyphs don't allow to completely ignore them.
it's like adding jumpscares to game for people with ptsd, adhd and other fancy abbreviations, looks like mean and scornful move, and comments like "try to elaborate" also looks like direct mocking.
Glyphs have been in the game since I started in 2014, so really, pretty much the majority of the Ingress timeline.
You do not have to Glyph to play. These badges are not required. It's a personal choice to pursue them or not.
For me, I choose not to scan. I will never unlock those badges. I also chose not to recruit via in-game when that was still an option, so I never unlocked that badge.
There are players out there who do not do any missions. And I'm sure there are players who choose not do Epoch, drone hacks, make fields etc. It's all a choice.
If you have a disability that prevents you from participating in a single aspect of the game, why not make peace with that and choose to omit that part out of your gameplay. You don't need it.
Glyphing has been around for at least 7 years already. You don't need it. You've actually done pretty well without it so far (I had a look at your profile).
Celebrate the things you do get to be good at :)
Though I'm curious, have you tried using the "simple" command Glyph at the start to slow the sequence down?
@deadjdona I think I understand where you're coming from.
Glyphing is not the only feature of Ingress that can be challenging for people with disabilities. Trekker is bad for people who are mobility-impaired. The whole game is challenging for vision-impaired people and those who have problems with fine motor control. Outside of disabilities, Explorer and Pioneer are tied to financial resources, as are some of the event badges. Scout and Scout Controller require the financial resources to purchase a phone capable of scanning. I'm sure I'm leaving stuff out.
The flip side of it is that Ingress is very much a choose-your-own-adventure game, and you're not obligated to do things that don't work for you. I have around a third of a billion AP and my Scout and Scout Controller badges are still locked... and always will be. My Mission Day and NL-1331 badges are at 1 and 3 respectively because I don't find those things fun and two of the NL points are from April Fools Day or whatever it was. I know of someone whose resonators destroyed stat will perpetually be at zero because he's chosen to play Ingress non-violently.
Do the things that work for you and don't do the ones that don't.
I wonder if they are talking about the flash of lights for the countdown
Glyphing is an 'optimal' but not required part of the game. You can ignore it if you so choose. The drop rates for tap hacks haven't been reduced since... forever. So not "Just don't play", but "Just don't glyph".
Personally I'd prefer to see glyphing removed because it encourages people to actually be more active, but that's purely for changing "optimal effective play", not because I don't have Black Translator many times over.
