Scanning inside Buildings

Have you ever seen any guidance discouraging agents from scanning inside a building? Or activating Overclock (aka VPS, aka scans stitched together) on a portal inside a building? Maybe it differs by country?

Not just private companies - public libraries??

Maybe "legal precedents invoked" only apply in the EU or something?

Maybe Overclock isn't a legal issue... but other games developed using the Lightship database (requiring people to hold their phones to the object just like Overclock)... could be?

I've scanned murals inside restaurants. I'll bet desk portals are scanned. And hotels. I'd think most are not very practical to Overclock glyph hack, so it's rarely done. (Imagine a family eating at the table in front of a mural, as you're walking around with your phone pointed at them, lol.) Altho that's beside the point - the legal concern would be the restaurant objecting to Niantic "selling" inside their establishment.

Lightship does have the ability to do private VPS which is just keeping the data localized but eh, it's really a can or worms here. Personally, I wouldn't do scanning inside unless there's big empty space like enclosed malls or main train hubs for big cities.

    I occasionally scan indoor things.

If it is an accessible wayspot, and it can be scanned. Scan it.
