Niantic Wayfarer Abuse Enforcement Ladder Policy

in General
Details have been shared about the Niantic Wayfarer Abuse Enforcement Ladder Policy.
“Niantic have been working hard to understand and combat ways in which bad actors abuse Wayfarer. These types of abuse can take form in the ways of low-quality contributions, review rings, and many other ways.”
This notes the levels of the Ladder, going from a Warning to a full 10 year suspension from all Niantic games and from Wayfarer.

I know this is Wayfarer related but thought it was important to let people here know too.
There are so many garbage wayspots, I am skeptical that anything will come of it.
Reporting of existing garbage wayspots is hard to find the form to report them
Have you used this form?
It notes it can be used for
@PkmnTrainerJ cheers, was going to hunt the form down, because I need to submit a garbage portal, maybe more.
Literally a an ordinary car dealership
And I’m sure, in typical Niantic fashion, there will be no way to dispute any incorrect “abuses.” I know I’ve had a couple rejections come through with the hateful tag on them. So now you’re telling me I could lose access to my account because some people on wayfarer all vote my nomination as hateful… Just another reason to not waste my time with it. Hope this helps with the abuse, but knowing how helpful support is, I know there will be some issues with this…
This section makes me laugh at the cringe:
If you believe your account has been punished in error, you may appeal the punishment once. We will respond to your appeal after a complete investigation of your account. Please note that due to the high level of accuracy in our detection systems, very few suspensions are ever overturned.
Bolded for emphasis because that's always been the case, right? Right? Riiigggghhhhtttt?
Yeah, Niantic never makes mistakes. Just ask @FinalBoss10
Though I haven’t seen concerns about bans here, @NianticAaron (oh hey, you’re here too) did try to calm those concerns.
For those who don’t want to click;
Hey there,
Thanks for voicing your concerns.
I assure you that the punishments are handed our after proper investigation by our team. We do not hand out punishments for auto-rejections by the system or for nominations that fall in the grey area. While our team may remove some Wayspots, they do not always trigger punishments. Posts on social media do not always paint the complete picture and thus may be misleading.
We hand out punishments for clear violations of our policies that may include repeated low quality submissions, fake submissions, influencing reviewers, harassing others, participating in voting rings etc.
If someone does not indulge in these practices, there is nothing to worry.
I hope this clears the air and addresses the confusion.
Happy Exploring!
So pogo folks are finally getting punished for submitting crappy subs? Great! About time!
