Additional thoughts on machina balance
Additional thoughts on on how to balance machina more, other than removing. Each is an independant thought, not in addition to:
-If you complete a portal scan on a machina portal, you create a a counter virus, which spreads for a set amount of machine spread cycles and turns red portals into your faction's color instead.
-If you complete a portal scan, machina is neutralized in the surrounding X kilometers for X amount of days.
-Over time, machina links decay off but the portal remains red. Spreading to NEW machina portals (grey instead of red) is more aggressive than spreading to existing red portals.

Maybe by using an ADA or JARVIS we could introduce a virus that propagates through all of the red linked portals in that link tree and neutralises them
At the moment, Machina is winning in a large part of my city’s suburbs, making some fun public transport and also hiking play no longer fun
You could just as easily argue that an overclocked portal is immune from reinfection for 7 days
True, there's lots of options out there they could do.
Just get rid of it! Or, reset every cycle or in a pinch, 4 cycles.
Cannot throw link more than 250m. I don't understand why it can throw 3-4km
As various people have said elsewhere:
- Should always prioritise the nearest neutral portal, not just pick one at random several km away
As I've suggested elsewhere:
- Some mechanism for players to break nuisance links, for example: if you put any four Link Amps on a portal then any links out of that portal can cross red links, and when any red link is crossed it breaks and is removed from the game board.
