The Future of Ingress [Discussion]

As you may know, earlier today Niantic announced that we’re closing our LA studio, where much of our Ingress team is based. Rest assured that Ingress is continuing onward.
These difficult decisions impacted many of our teammates and friends. Each of them left footprints on the soul of Niantic, on us as an Ingress team, and we’re sad they’re gone.
Ingress continues to operate full steam ahead, and we remain optimistic for the future of the game and community we all love so passionately. The Ingress team will continue our focus on sustainability, as well as making the game easier to understand for new recruits so that we can grow our global Agent community.
Changes like these remind us to cherish the connections we make with fellow Agents along the way. Remember, Ingress is more than just a game; we thank you for your years of support and look forward to seeing you at a future Ingress event!

Atleast we got this update! Was really worried...
I reckon we need a State of the Game blog post, Past, Present & Future!
Still tho, this is good news.
We need some info about the future of NL events.
I loved the tour concept. Would be nice for more even if in US or Europe...
Hopefully it will return next year under a new leadership/operator/driver whatever.
pleased to hear Ingress is to continue.....i have been a long term player I joined in the third month of its extistance. Have watched data base develop and Pogo develop as Niatitics cash cow. Curently enjoy the new red faction/machina change Ingress as staleness was beginning to grow... The post Covid era, Core membership and First Saturday .Second Sundays and 2xap Tuesday 6.7.00pm changes all have achieved to maitain my game interest. My play area is rural with some kms travel to the metropolitan areas and cbd of my States capital City [ population over 1.2 million citizens]... Looking forward to New developments and adjustments and a growth of AR game and gameplay.
If they want a focus on their first party games, they need to show they are and not just say it.
